摘要: A foiled article and methods of making the foiled article. The foiled article includes a substrate with one or more foiled areas on one or both surfaces of the substrate. The foiled areas are formed by applying a predetermined pattern of toner or ink to the substrate, and bonding a foil material to the patterned areas by the application of heat. The foiled areas can then be printed to create a multi-colored foil, images, or text thereon. The foiled areas can be simultaneously printed with the non-foiled areas. The digital patterning of the toner or ink, as well as the optional digital printing of the foiled areas allow for variable images without the expenditure for stamping dies and printing plates, such that a short-run product can be produced at lower cost with faster turn around times than traditional foiling processes.

摘要: A device and method for the performing of fireground training exercises is presented. The device includes a sled having a plurality of runners. Further included is a frame in communication with the sled. The frame is coupled to the sled and defines a structure. A number of simulation exercises are facilitated via the device, such as a ceiling breach simulation device. The ceiling breach simulation device is configured to include a pole having a first end and a second end. The first end pivots about a mount in communication with the sled so as to maintain the point of rotation below the hands of the trainee. In one embodiment the ceiling breach simulation device permits both rotational motion as well as vertical translation of the pole.

摘要: A switch assembly is provided for use on a vehicle having a source of supply voltage. The assembly comprises a switching network having an input terminal configured to be coupled to the supply voltage and an output terminal. The network comprises: (1) nine series-coupled resistors coupled between the input terminal and the output terminal, each resistor having a substantially predetermined resistance; and (2) nine switches each coupled between the input terminal and the output terminal and capable of being opened and closed by an operator of the vehicle. Eight of the switches are each coupled to a different junction of adjacent resistors, and the ninth switch is coupled between the output terminal and the ninth resistor. The switch assembly further comprises a control module coupled to the output terminal for determining which, if any, of the nine switches is closed.

摘要: An introducer deploys an endoluminal device in a distal location from a proximal location. The introducer comprises a retrograde portion, an anterograde portion axially moveable relative to the retrograde portion, a shaft having a distal tip and an anterograde sheath attached to the distal tip, and an inflatable balloon mounted radially outside the retrograde portion for anchoring the device during deployment from its proximal end to its distal end. The retrograde portion may comprise bilumen tubing having an external wall, an internal wall that defines a central lumen radially inward of the internal wall, and an annular lumen in fluid communication with the balloon defined between the external wall and the internal wall.
