Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing acyloxy benzoic acids of the formula (I), in which R1 is a linear or branched saturated alkyl group with 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a linear or branched mono- or polyunsaturated alkenyl group with 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or an aryl group with 6 to 30 carbon atoms. The acyloxy benzoic acids of the formula (I) are produced from para-hydroxy benzoic acid and a corresponding carboxylic acid halogenide in the presence of a base and are advantageously suitable for use as activators for hydrogen peroxide.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of manganese or iron complexes which, as well as a tetraoxolene unit, contain two macrocyclic, N-containing ligands, especially cyclen or cyclam ligands, in washing and cleaning compositions in the form of granules or powder or solution or suspension for bleaching of colored stains both on textiles and on hard surfaces. The invention also relates to washing and cleaning compositions which comprise such complexes as bleach activators and to the use thereof for textile washing or for dishwashing detergents and other uses in personal care and other areas.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for producing compounds of formula (I) wherein R1 is a straight- or branched-chain C1-C24 alkyl, C2-C24-alkenyl or C1-C24-alkyl ether group or CH2CN or a group of the formula R2 and R3 are each individually a C1-C8-alkyl or C1-C4-hydroxyalkyl group. The method according to the invention is characterized by reacting a tertiary amine of the formula NR1R2R3 with chloroacetonitrile in an organic solvent and then adding an alkylating substance R11-Z, being C1-C4 alky.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of amido acid phenyl esters of the formula ##STR1## by reaction of a compound of the formula ##STR2## with a compound of the formula ##STR3## in the presence of an acid halide, where A, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, X and M are as defined in the description, is claimed. The resulting amido acid phenyl esters are used as bleach activators in detergents and cleaners.
