摘要: A material-feeding roll comprises a cylindrical body being at least partly composed of an elastomeric material having longitudinal apertures disposed therethrough and a plurality of tines extending therefrom.A rotary mounting assembly for a rotatable body comprises a bearing and a hollow axle member. The axle member has a tapered gripping portion for engagement within an aperture carried by the rotatable body. A tightening element is provided and is extendable through the hollow axle member into securing contact with the body to attach the axle member to the body in rotation-transmitting engagement.A material deflecting chute comprises a concave surface and a plurality of walls on the concave surface forming channels which are widened from an intake end of the chute toward a discharge end thereof.An apparatus for aligning and conveying elongate material comprises a base conveyor above which are arranged a series of parallel divider walls, with an aligner belt being arranged to travel along at least the upper periphery of each divider wall toward a discharge end of the base conveyor. The aligner belts are controlled so as to travel at a different speed than the base conveyor to effect alignment of the material during conveyance thereof toward the discharge end of the base conveyor.A toothed gripping roll for controlling the speed of stalk material being milled has non-radially extending teeth to resist impaling and slashing of the fibrous structure thereof.

摘要: A self-service gift card terminal for the purchase or activation of a gift card, the gift card terminal including a housing having a computer processor disposed in the housing. A user interface coupled to the computer processor provides for self-service interaction between a customer and the gift card terminal. A modem coupled to the computer processor and connectable to a network transmits data to and from the gift card terminal. The gift card terminal also includes means for accepting payment for a gift card purchase. The computer processor is configured to activate a gift card in accordance with a customer request for and purchase of a gift card. A receipt for the transaction is then printed. The self-service gift card terminal provides a convenient terminal from which a customer can purchase and activate a gift card from a plurality of retailers or service providers.

摘要: A biopsy device having a cutting element is disclosed. The cutting element includes an inner cannula having a tissue receiving aperture disposed proximate a distal end thereof and an inner lumen. The inner cannula is slidably disposed within the inner lumen of an outer cannula. A vacuum chamber is disposed about at least a portion of the cutting element and is configured to create a vacuum in the cutting element during a biopsy procedure. The inner cannula is advanced distally outwardly and to cause the vacuum to be generated in the vacuum chamber. The vacuum is delivered to the cutting element whereby tissue is drawn into the tissue receiving aperture. The outer cannula is advanced distally outwardly after the inner cannula such that tissue drawn into the tissue cutting aperture is severed.

摘要: The present invention provides spreader covers and methods of using the spreader covers. Specifically, the present invention provides spreader covers that are generally rigid that are configured for enclosing the hopper of a spreader device (e.g., to protect from rain and/or spillage). In certain embodiments, the generally rigid spreader covers enclosing the top of a hopper may be slid back, along the hopper opening ridge, to allow material to be added to the hopper without removing the spreader cover.
