    摘要: Provided are an outer-diameter blade, an inner-diameter blade and cutting machines using both blades for cutting hard material, and a core drill and a core-drill processing machine for forming a hole into hard material, whereby the mechanical processing with reduction in the cutting and/or contact resistance to the tools is realized, so that in the case of the outer-diamond blade, it is prevented from occurring that a to-be-cut object is warped and put into contact to the blade to cause chipping; in the case of the inner-diameter blade, it is prevented from occurring that the blade is bowed and/or a cutting surface is curved; and in the case of the core drill, not only are grinding powder of a workpiece and loosed-off abrasive grains effectively removed to prevent those from being loaded between the drill and the workpiece, but neither of cracking and chipping occur when the drill passes through the workpiece. An outer-diameter blade comprises: a metal base plate having a disk-like shape; a diamond abrasive grain tip portion provided along an outer peripheral part of the metal base plate and diamond abrasive grain layers formed on side surfaces of the metal base plate, wherein an outer end face of the tip portion is shaped as an angled protrusion. An inner-diameter blade comprises: a hollow base plate having a disk-like shape; a diamond abrasive grain tip portion provided along an inner peripheral part of the hollow base plate; and an abrasive grain layer formed on side surfaces of the hollow base plate, wherein an outer end face of the tip portion is shaped as an angled protrusion. A core drill comprises: a shank; a base metal section having a cup-like shape constructed of a disk-like top wall and a cylindrical side wall provided on a fore-end of the shank; a grinding stone portion mounted on an outer end part of the base metal section; and abrasive grain layers formed on inner/outer side surfaces of the cylindrical side wall of the base metal section.

    摘要: A light-weight base body of a reflecting mirror, such as those used in reflecting astronomical telescopes, is proposed which is made from fused silica glass or high-silica glass and is advantageous in respect of the excellent thermal and mechanical stability in dimensions to ensure high performance of the reflecting mirror. The base body is composed of a front plate, i.e. a surface plate to provide the optical surface, and a supporting body of porous foamed glass integrally bonded to the front plate. These two parts of the base body can be bonded together by sandwiching a layer of a finely divided silica powder therebetween and heating the assemblage at a temperature higher than the softening point of the silica powder so that the silica powder is softened or melted to firmly join the two parts sandwiching the powder layer. The base body can be further improved in respect of the mechanical stability by providing a rear plate backing the porous foamed body and a reinforcing hoop-like side layer surrounding the side surface of the porous foamed body, each made from fused quartz glass or high-silica glass and bonded to the porous foamed body by utilizing melting of a layer of silica powder therebetween.

    摘要: A known method for producing an object having a flanged tubular portion at the outer periphery, comprises supplying a continuously extended, cylindrical body made of the flange material to a welding zone at the tubular portion of the object and welding the flange material to the welding zone by heating and winding the cylindrical body around the object. In order to provide a method and an apparatus for producing an object having a flanged portion at the outer periphery without requiring sophisticated manual technique or a manual skill of a well trained expert it is suggested that said method further comprises supplying the cylindrical body to the welding zone in a predefined feeding direction and with a adjustable feeding rate, heating a front end portion of the cylindrical body and melting it to the welding portion, continuously rotating of the object with a adjustable rotation speed, whereby the welding zone is moved in a direction parallel to the feeding direction, observing at least one boundary of the cylindrical body in order to detect a lateral displacement of the boundary in a direction vertical to the feeding direction; and providing an automatic control mechanism, whereby the detected displacement is used as a regulating variable. Furthermore an apparatus is suggested characterized by supplying means for continuously feeding of the cylindrical body with an adjustable feeding rate and in a predetermined feeding direction to the welding zone in such a manner that the front end is directed to and in contact with the welding zone, holding means for holding the object, whereby the object is rotatable along a rotational axis and with an adjustable rotation speed, whereby the welding zone is moving in a direction parallel to the feeding direction of the cylindrical body, heating means for heating and melting the front end of the cylindrical body when in contact with the welding zone, observing means to observe at least one boundary of the cylindrical body in order to detect a lateral displacement of the boundary in a direction vertical to the feeding direction; and controlling means using the detected lateral displacement as a regulating variable.
