    摘要: An example of a nanoballoon thermal protection system includes a refractory ceramic foam having carbide balloons. The foam has a closed cell structure not allowing liquid to penetrate through the foam. Each of the carbide balloons is hollow and has a diameter greater than 0 nm and less than 900 nm. Each of the carbide balloons includes a refractory carbide. In addition, a vehicle with thermal shield includes a surface and a first and second nanoballoon closed cell foam coatings. Each of the foam coatings has a melting point temperature greater than 1000° C. and a density less than 85%. Each of the foam coatings has hollow balloons having a diameter less than 900 nm. Each of the foam coatings includes a closed cell structure not allowing liquid to penetrate through the respective coating. Methods for manufacturing a nanoballoon system and a nanoballoon thermal protection system are also disclosed.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an absorbent structure with a sequence of two layers comprising at least one liquid absorption layer, a subsequent liquid storage layer with super absorbent polymer SAP, preferably SAP particles and/or SAP fibers and a subsequent liquid distribution layer, wherein the layers are connected and form a sheet structure, wherein at least the liquid storage layer and the liquid distribution layer each at least have an air laid material, preferably an air laid ply comprising cellulose fibers as main constituent, an area of the air laid material in the liquid distribution layer being more narrowly pored than an area of the air laid material in the liquid storage layer, and wherein the liquid storage layer has super absorbent polymer, in particular SAP particles, extending from the liquid storage layer into the liquid distribution layer in order to generate a return suction effect for the liquid that has passed through the liquid absorbent layer and liquid storage layer into the liquid distribution layer.

    摘要: The disclosure provides a composition or set of compositions and method for producing cellular, foamed, or blown fluoropolymers such as perfluoropolymers and other thermoplastics to create a lower cost communications cable, conductor separator, conductor support-separator, jacketing, tape, wire insulation and in some cases a conduit tube as individual components or combined configurations that exhibit improved electrical, flammability and optical properties. Specifically, the foamable or blown perfluoropolymer cellular insulation composition comprises; talc and the selected fluoropolymers such as perfluoropolymers. Compounded pellets including inorganic and organic fillers resulting in products in cellular or foamable form with and without solid skin surfaces has also been realized by providing melt combinations within the pellets primarily comprising talc and a perfluoropolymer, and additives as needed to provide desired property differentiation.
