摘要： An object of the invention is to provide at low manufacturing cost a clamp-operated retractor including an emergency locking mechanism adapted to lock the rotation of the winding shaft in the webbing pull-out direction in an emergency such as a collision, in which a webbing clamping mechanism is simple in structure, and is able to quickly stop the webbing from being pulled out. In a clamp-operated retractor according to the present invention, control means for moving a clamp 6 to a first position where pulling a webbing is prevented and a second position where pulling the webbing is permitted is composed of: a tension plate 9 which is so arranged as to be rotatable around the same axis as that of a latch plate 4a, and urges a latch cup 13 in a webbing winding direction, and rotatably supports a pawl 11; and a lever member comprising a clamp lever 7 and an outer plate 8 which are supported on side boards 1a in such a manner that the abutting part 8c of the outer plate 8 is engaged with an engaging portion 9d of the tension plate 9 and the slots 7f of the clamp lever 7 are engaged with the shaft of the clamp 6.

摘要： An automatic take-up apparatus is used with the seat belt device of a vehicle and can cause a lock member to be engaged with a latch plate rotatable with a webbing take-up shaft to thereby automatically lock the draw-out of webbing. The lock member has its operation controlled by a control member mounted radially outwardly of the latch plate and brought into resilient contact with the latch plate, and is kept in a non-locking position during the draw-out of the webbing and is permitted to move to a locking position when some rewinding of the webbing has been sensed, thereby automatically blocking the draw-out of the webbing after mounted.

摘要： An emergency locking retractor comprises a lock member capable of assuming a position in which it engages an engaging portion integral with a webbing take-up shaft to lock the rotation of the shaft in webbing draw-out direction and a position in which it does not engage the engaging portion. A speed change sensing member is adapted, when it senses a greater speed change of a vehicle than a predetermined value, to shift from a first condition to a second condition and thereby move the lock member to the engaging position. The retractor also includes a switch-actuated electrical system for moving the lock member independently of the sensing member.

The inertia sensing member is designed to be brought to said second position by the attraction of a magnet when said inertia sensing member has been displaced by a predetermined amount from said first position.
