    Abstract: An in-vehicle device includes a plurality of transmitting antennas, an in-vehicle device transmitter configured to transmit measurement signals via the plurality of respective transmitting antennas, an in-vehicle device receiver configured to receive, from a portable device, a measurement result signal that includes measurement data of received signal strengths of the respective measurement signals that have been transmitted from the plurality of respective transmitting antennas; and an in-vehicle device controller configured to calculate first distances from the portable device to a plurality of preset areas, based on differences between the received signal strengths of the respective measurement signals included in the measurement result signal, and to identify an area to which the portable device belongs from the plurality of preset areas based on the first distances.

    Abstract: An input device includes a top panel having an operation surface, a detection unit configured to detect a capacitance corresponding to a distance between the operation surface and an object, and a controller configured to determine, based on a detection result from the detection unit, a relative state between the operation surface and the object to be one out of a non-detection state and a plurality of states.     Abstract: A coordinate input device includes a plurality of detection electrodes arranged in a grid shape, a coordinate calculation unit that calculates coordinates representing a proximity position of an object on a basis of changes in capacitances of the plurality of detection electrodes, and an output unit that outputs the coordinates calculated by the coordinate calculation unit. The coordinate calculation unit calculates the coordinates using each of a first calculation method and a second calculation method. In a case where two objects are detected using both the first calculation method and the second calculation method, the output unit outputs the coordinates calculated using the first calculation method in a case where a distance between the two objects is greater than a predetermined first threshold, and outputs the coordinates calculated using the second calculation method in a case where the distance between the two objects is less than a predetermined second threshold.

    Abstract: An electrostatic input apparatus is provided. A measuring unit measures capacitance at a plurality of coordinates of an electrostatic coordinate input unit. A converting unit obtains a reference value of the capacitance and converts the capacitance to difference values according to a distance between the electrostatic coordinate input unit at the coordinates and a finger. A first coordinate calculating unit calculates barycentric coordinates of a contact portion from the difference values for the plurality of coordinates. A cycle determining unit determines whether the difference values at coordinates on a circumference of a circle with a predetermined radius centered on the barycentric coordinates exhibit periodicity of two cycles in one round along the circle. An operation determining unit performs, when the cycle determining unit determines that the difference values exhibit periodicity of two cycles, a determination that an input operation using two or more fingers has been performed.

    Abstract: An input apparatus includes a plurality of electrodes spaced apart from each other, a signal processing unit configured to output an input signal depending on a change in a capacitance of each electrode, and a determination unit configured to determine whether an operation object comes in a proximity of at least one of electrodes based on input signals output from the signal processing unit. The determination unit makes a determination such that in a case where one of the input signals is greater than or equal to a first threshold value and an integral value of another of the plurality of input signals in a predetermined integration period is greater than or equal to a second threshold value, it is determined that an operation object has come in a proximity of an electrode corresponding to the one of the input signals.
