Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at a first device with one or more processors, non-transitory memory, and a display. The method includes displaying, on the display, a device control transfer affordance while operating the first device based on user input from an input device that is in communication with the first device. The method includes receiving a device control transfer user input from the input device selecting the device control transfer affordance that is displayed on the display of the first device. In response to receiving the device control transfer user input, the method includes configuring a second device to be operated based on user input from the input device and ceasing to operate the first device based on user input from the input device.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel auto-scanning method for navigating elements within a user interface (UI) of a computing device. This method associates the UI elements into several overlapping groups, with each group having more than one element and having at least one element in common with at least one other group. The method successively identifies a different group of elements as a selectable group for a different duration of time. While a group is selectable, a user can select the group through an input device or mechanism. If a user does not select a first group of elements that is selectable during a first time period, the method identifies a second group of elements as being selectable during a second time period. While identifying the second group as selectable during the second time period, the method identifies the first as not being selectable during this time period. When a user selects a group of elements while the group is identified as being selectable, the method successively identifies as selectable different elements within the selected group. Upon receiving selection of a particular element within the selected group, the method performs an action associated with the particular element.

Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at a device with one or more processors, non-transitory memory, a display, and an input device. The method includes receiving, from an application, application output data and accessibility metadata associated with user interface elements of a user interface of the application, wherein the accessibility metadata can be used by accessibility modules to identify, describe, or enable interaction with the user interface elements. The method includes comparing the application output data to the accessibility metadata. The method include determining, based on comparing the application output data to the accessibility metadata, that a particular user interface element of the user interface of the application lacks accurate corresponding accessibility metadata. The method includes displaying, on the display, a report including an indication that the particular user interface element lacks accurate corresponding accessibility metadata.
