    摘要： A multimedia enhancement for an amusement device includes a sound synthesizer for creating a user perceptible signal, such as an audio signal, in response to selective actuation of the controls of the amusement device. The amusement device includes a screen for displaying a viewer perceptible image and a pair of rotary control knobs operatively associated with rotary switches and a selectably actuable on-off switch to provide amusing sounds and feedback indicative of the operator's use of the control knobs. The sound synthesizer is programmed to also create one of a series of sounds from a plurality of families of sounds in a predetermined sequence in response to actuation of the control elements by the user or randomly.

    摘要： A dual seat arrangement for an earthworking vehicle consists of a first seat including a seat cushion fixed to the vehicle body and a backrest pivotally supported on the vehicle body about a generally horizontal first pivot axis. A second rearwardly facing seat is pivoted on the vehicle body about a second parallel horizontal axis and the backrest and second seat are interconnected by a rigid link so that the two move as a unit between generally horizontal and generally vertical positions which respectively define the operative position for the rearwardly facing seat and the operative position for the forwardly facing backrest. A single releasable latch means is utilized for defining the upright position while the generally horizontal position is defined by supporting the seat directly on the vehicle frame structure.

    摘要： A plastic pistol shaped toy dart gun having a barrel with a non-circular muzzle opening for a suction cup ended dart shaft having a cooperating cross section with that opening; which barrel houses a helical compressible dart ejecting spring and has extending along the side of the barrel, the longer leg of an L-shaped trigger pivoted centrally of this leg. This trigger has a hook at the outer end of this longer leg for engaging a notch in the shaft of the dart for cocking the gun, and at the inner end of the longer leg a spring side engagable portion for insuring engagement of the hook when the proper dart is properly inserted into the gun. The barrel also contains opposite this spring engagable portion on the trigger, a spring deflector cam to urge the compressed spring against this engagable portion of the trigger for further insuring engagement of the hook into the notch in the dart's shaft for cocking the gun.

    摘要： High quality acyl lactam imides are prepared by reacting an acyl lactam of the formula ##STR1## where 5 carbon atoms and an acylating acid of the formula R'CO.sub.2 H or by reacting a lactam, an anhydride of the formula (RCO).sub.2 O where R is 1 to 5 carbon atoms and an acylating acid, preferably in the presence of a base catalyst. The process affords acyl lactam imides in high yield and at lower reaction temperatures by providing for the removal of volatile carboxylic acid by-products under vacuum or by the use of a stripping gas. The acyl lactam imides are particularly suited for use as bleach activators in detergent compositions.

    摘要： Amine oxide surfactants contaminated with nitrite are treated under acidic conditions with materials such as maleic acid and diethylenetriaminepentaacetate (DTPA) to reduce nitrite levels below 1 ppm. Thus, C.sub.12-13 dimethyl amine is oxidized with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of maleic acid and DTPA to reduce nitrite levels. The resulting nitrite-free amine oxide is employed in various detergent compositions.

    摘要： An illumination device for an exterior rearview mirror of a vehicle comprises a bulb holder which comprises a pair of stamped terminals and a housing which is preferably injection molded about the stamped terminals. One end of the stamped terminals provides for connection to a light bulb or other illumination source, while the other end of the stamped terminals provides for electrical connection to a vehicle or mirror wiring harness. Preferably, the body of the bulb holder is molded from a soft plastic material to facilitate easy insertion and removal of the bulb holder in the mirror assembly, and to further ease connection of the vehicle wiring harness to the wiring terminals. The soft plastic molding further provides a water-tight seal between the body and the stamped terminals and between the body and the illumination device of the rearview mirror assembly.
