Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to receive a first uplink grant having a first priority, generate, by a medium access control (MAC) layer, a first MAC protocol data unit (PDU) comprising first data, deliver the first MAC PDU to a physical (PHY) layer, transmit, via a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), the first data using resources identified in the first uplink grant, receive a second uplink grant having a second priority, wherein a corresponding PUSCH duration of the first and second uplink grants overlap and wherein the second priority is higher than the first priority, generate a second MAC protocol data unit (PDU) comprising second data corresponding to the second uplink grant, deliver the second MAC PDU to the PHY layer of the UE, cancel the transmission of the first data and transmit the second data using resources identified in the second uplink grant via the PUSCH.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to multi-path operation. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a measurement report is transmitted to a base station on a first path between the UE and the base station, wherein the measurement report indicates channel quality information on one or more potential paths between the UE and the base station. A path addition command is then received from the base station, wherein the path addition command indicates the UE to add a path from one or more potential paths as a second path.
