Abstract:
Anomaly-driven software for capturing and automating responses to computer anomalies is disclosed. Computer anomalies are processed by identifying the occurrence of an anomaly and correcting the computer anomaly by initiating a stored corrective action based on a user's input for resolving the anomaly.
Abstract:
This invention is directed toward a calendar that can be used to track time in both the traditional sense with sequential days, and in the project-planning sense allowing a user to track progress on one or more tasks that require more than a day to complete. The invention can be produced in both physical versions, such as paper or cardstock calendars, or projected onto a wall, or created through software programmed for this purpose. The software version would be customizable to each individual user's preferences. By presenting both the time-tracking and project-tracking aspects of the invention on a single item—whether it is a physical calendar or one on a computer—the user is benefited by the close proximity of the two functions, which are normally found on two entirely different items.
Abstract:
An insert for shaping and protecting headwear may include an elongate body shaped to fit along at least a portion of an interior surface of the headwear; and at least one ventilation orifice extending through the elongate body, wherein the elongate body comprises a pressed and/or needled wool felt material.
Abstract:
A method for detecting discrepancies in an electrical grid configuration includes receiving network-communicated telemetry data from a plurality of grid monitoring devices of an electrical grid over a computer network. The apparent grid configuration is estimated based at least in part on the network-communicated telemetry data, and compared to a digital documented configuration of the electrical grid stored in computer storage. Based on the comparison, an indication of a potential discrepancy between the apparent grid configuration and the digital documented grid configuration is output.
Abstract:
A method to change the IP address of a server from a remote operator station, where that server comprises an HTTP server having a first IP address, and where that server is capable of communicating with one or more remote operator stations. One of those remote operator stations submits to the server, using the first IP address, an IP address change request. That IP address change request includes discontinuing use of the first IP address and commencing use of a second IP address. After receipt of the IP address change request, the server generates an HTML page comprising an embedded applet, where that applet is capable of monitoring the TCP/IP connection between the remote operator station and the server. The server provides that HTML page/applet to the remote operator station. Thereafter, the remote operator station continuously displays the status of the IP address change request using the provided applet. After the IP address change request is completed, the remote operator station communicates with the server using the second IP address.
Abstract:
A drive-up equipment transporting apparatus 10 has a tiltable carrying rack 30 hinged to a frame member 22. The rack 30 is lockable in an untilted or tilted position, the latter position for driving an ATV or other small vehicle 18 from ground level 16 onto or from the rack. An outrigger 24 projects from frame member 22 to support the non-loading side 36 of the rack 30. The frame member 22 comprises a square tubing member having a front end insertable into a Class 4 hitch receiver 14 of a host vehicle. In an alternative embodiment, a square tubing member comprises the frame 432 of a wheeled trailer 430 with a terminal hitch 444. A plurality of carrying racks 30 are hinged to centrally tilt about the frame 432.
Abstract:
A system and method for manufacturing composite material components having substantially uniform properties comprising means to control the metering of constituent composite material components during manufacture. The resulting composite material components may, for example, be used in the construction of decking systems, railing, porches, fences, stairs, or other similar or suitable applications that may benefit from aesthetically pleasing appearances.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a system, a method, and article of manufacture to configure information storage and retrieval systems. A configuration loader receives configuration commands from a configuration loader user interface. Upon receipt of configuration commands, the configuration loader transfers storage controller configurations from information storage and retrieval system configuration sources to target information storage and retrieval systems. Threading technology is used to apply a thread manager for managing threads to accomplish the configuration transfers. Multiple physical and/or logical configurations may be transferred simultaneously using the threading technology.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a pump arrangement for use in a gear box housing. The interior surface of the gear box housing has a collection wall arranged in the interior surface of the housing. A shaft is rotatably disposed through the gear box housing and has a longitudinal bore extending through the shaft that provides a lubrication delivery arrangement for distributing lubricant through the gear box housing. A pump housing circumscribes the shaft and has a discharge cavity connected to the longitudinal bore. Additionally, the pump housing has an inlet port for receiving lubrication from the collection wall. Contained within the pump housing is a pump member that has an impeller face and helical threaded surface that pressurizes and introduces the lubricant into the lubricant delivery arrangement.
