Abstract: A cover article for a sensor is described herein that includes: a substrate; and an outer layered film disposed on the substrate. The outer layered film comprises alternating high and low refractive index (RI) layers. Each of the high RI layers comprises a nitride or an oxynitride. The outer layered film can have a physical thickness from about 500 nm to 12,000 nm. The article has at least two non-overlapping wavelength bands, each band having a bandwidth from 5 nm to 200 nm and a central wavelength within a spectrum from 400 nm to 1200 nm. Abstract: A cover glass article is described herein comprising at least one substrate with opposing outer and inner primary surfaces, and at least one of an outer optical film structure and an inner optical disposed on the outer and inner primary surfaces, respectively. The outer and inner film structures comprise alternating high and low refractive index layers, in which at least a portion of the high refractive index layers independently is an oxide, a nitride, and/or an oxynitride, and at least a portion of the low refractive index layers independently is an oxide, a nitride, an oxynitride, and/or a metal fluoride. The cover glass article exhibits high visible light transmittance and low infrared light transmittance, being useful in applications including lenses, sensors, sensor assemblies, light sources, smartwatches, a smartphones, smart glasses, vehicle camera systems, displays, and cameras.

Abstract: A screen protector is described herein that is configured to be releasably attached to an optical coating on a glass-containing display of an electronic device. The protector comprises: a glass-containing substrate comprising an outer and inner primary surface; an antireflective (AR) coating on the outer primary surface; and an interlayer on the inner primary surface for releasable attachment to the optical coating on the display. The interlayer comprises an adhesive, a physical thickness from about 10 μm to 500 μm, and one or more refractive indices from ˜1.2 to 1.6. Further, an average photopic reflectance of the screen protector can be less than 2% for all incident angles from 0° to 30°. The interlayer can comprise optically clear adhesive (OCA), polymer-containing layer, and releasable adhesive layers. An anti-splinter (AS) film can be between the interlayer and the substrate. The interlayer and/or AS film may be a cyclo olefin, cellulose triacetate or polyurethane.
