摘要: Provided are a polarizing plate and an optical display device comprising the same, the polarizing plate comprising: a polarizer; a protective film laminated on the top surface of the polarizer; and a retardation film laminated on the bottom surface of the polarizer. The retardation film comprises a first retardation layer, and a second retardation layer which is a coating layer formed on one surface of the first retardation layer. The protective film has a total haze of 19% or more and an internal haze of 7% or more at a wavelength of 550 nm to 555 nm, and the polarizer has a polarization angle of 99.5% or more.

摘要: Provided is a transparent member having formed thereon a film having high reliability, the film being capable of suppressing an increase in its haze and maintaining its hydrophilicity for a long time period even when exposed to an outdoor environment. The transparent member is a transparent member including a resin base material and a porous layer arranged thereon, wherein the porous layer has a network structure in which silica particles are joined to each other with a binder, wherein the resin base material has a mixed layer that the network structure has entered, wherein the mixed layer has a thickness of 20 nm or more and 160 nm or less, and wherein a thickness variation in a range having a length of 1 μm of a section of the mixed layer in its thickness direction along the surface of the resin base material is 15% or less.

摘要: An optical device producing method includes: Step A of forming a wall portion surrounding an application region for a photocurable resin composition on an optical member or a transparent panel; Step B of applying a photocurable resin composition to the application region; Step C of forming a laminate by laminating the optical member and the transparent panel via the photocurable resin composition under a reduced-pressure atmosphere lower than atmospheric pressure; and Step D of removing babbles in the photocurable resin composition by pressurizing the laminate. In Step B, at least the height of the photocurable resin composition on the side of the wall portion is made higher than the height of the wall portion, and the photocurable resin composition is applied so that the laminate formed in Step C has a plurality of separated spaces separated by bubbles formed in the thickness direction of the photocurable resin composition.

摘要: A protective barrier affixable to a curved substrate comprises a stack of two or more lenses, each of the two or more lenses including a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, a hard coat on a first side of the PET film, and an adhesive layer on a second side of the PET film opposite the first side. The stack of two or more lenses may have a modulation transfer function that exhibits a contrast value greater than 75% for a spatial resolution of one line-pair per 0.0003 radians at 65 degrees angle of incidence. Heat and pressure may be applied to conform the stack of two or more lenses to the shape of the curved substrate.
