Abstract: A reduction device includes a housing defining an input chamber configured to receive exhaust from a power source, an output chamber, an exhaust channel configured to direct the exhaust from the input chamber to the output chamber, and a longitudinal axis. The reduction device also includes a treatment unit disposed in the exhaust channel and along the longitudinal axis. The treatment unit is configured to at least partly remove pollutant species from the exhaust. The reduction device also includes an attenuation component disposed in the housing and radially outward of the treatment unit. The attenuation component is fluidly connected to the exhaust channel, and is configured to attenuate a range of frequencies corresponding to operation of the power source. Additionally, the exhaust channel prohibits exhaust entering the input chamber from exiting the housing without passing through the treatment unit.

Abstract: A two-stage mixer may include a guiding element and a mixing element. The guiding element may be configured to be fixedly mounted to an interior of an exhaust conduit. The mixing element may be configured to be fixedly mounted to the interior of the exhaust conduit in a position downstream from the guiding element. The mixing element may include a central disk, a plurality of mounting arms extending radially from the central disk, and a plurality of blades extending radially from the central disk. At least one mounting arm of the plurality of mounting arms may include a fin extending therefrom, and at least one blade of the plurality of blades may include a fin extending therefrom.

The mixing element includes a base plate having an upper surface and a lower surface. The base plate is configured to deflect a portion of a flow of a fluid around the upper surface thereof. The mixing element also includes a plurality of vanes attached to the lower surface of the base plate in a spaced apart arrangement. The plurality of vanes is configured to induce a swirling effect in a flow of the fluid received therebetween.

Abstract: A flow mixing device includes a body having a first end, a second end, and an interior volume defined between them. An inlet plate, coupled to the first end of the body, defines at least two inlet orifices in fluid communication with the interior volume.
