    摘要: The present invention relates to a novel communication mechanism between astrocytes and neurons at a synapse. More specifically, the present invention relates to a signaling mechanism between astrocytes and neurons, by activating astrocytic G-protein coupled receptors, thereby activating glutamate receptors on a membrane of neighboring postsynaptic neurons, resulting in increasing the level of intracellular Ca2+ and inducing a depolarization inward current to control neurotransmission in neurons.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a novel use of a transfected cell as a biosensor, wherein the transfected cell expresses a receptor specific to a bio-signal transmitter, and a highly sensitive detector and a highly sensitive detecting method of a bio-signal transmitter using the biosensor. The bio-signal transmitter detecting technique according to the present invention has an advantage of being applied to a sniffer-patch method, and is capable of providing millisecond time resolution for detecting nanomolar levels of the bio-signal transmitter to be detected.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a high yield process for producing soluble dietary fiber from corn hull. More specifically, the present invention comprises removing starch and protein with enzymes from corn hull which is by-product of wet-milling process for production of corn starch, extracting the resultant with alkaline solution to form a alkaline extract, treating the alkaline extract with enzymes, and drying the enzyme-treated solution, to produce dietary fiber with low viscosity and containing hemicellulose as a major component at high yield.
