Abstract: A power plug with leakage current detection and protection interrupter and arc protection includes: a shell, a trip assembly disposed within the shell, a cable connector electrically coupled to the trip assembly, and an arc protection shield disposed between the trip assembly and the shell. The trip assembly includes a switch having input and output contact terminals. The arc protection shield is configured to isolate the input and output contact terminals of the switch from the shell. The arc protection shield includes one or more arc blocking baffles, each disposed near corresponding input and output contact terminals, so as to isolate the contact terminals from the shell. By providing the arc protection shield between the input and output contact terminals and the shell, the shell is protected from arcs formed at the input and output contact terminals due to connection and disconnection operations. This prevents damage to the shell and improves user experience and safety.

Abstract: A power cord includes multiple current-carrying wires covered by an outer insulating layer, each wire including a current-carrying conductor covered by an insulating layer. At least one wire further includes a shield layer covering the insulating layer and a metal conductor between the insulating layer and the shield layer. The shield layer is formed of a band wound around the metal conductor and insulating layer. The outward-facing surface of the band is insulating; the inward-facing surface has one or more conductive regions and one or more insulating regions. One insulating region is located along a longitudinal trailing edge of the band. Consecutive turns of the band partially overlap each other; the trailing edge of a subsequent turn is disposed over part of a previous turn. The structure ensures effective insulation of the metal conductor from other components. The power cord is used in a leakage current detection and interruption device.

Abstract: A power cord for a leakage current detection and interruption device including two insulated power supply lines, two leakage current detection lines for detecting a leakage current on the power supply lines, and two conductor wires. The two leakage current detection lines and the two conductor wires are electrically insulated from each other along the length of the power cord but are electrically connected in series to form a detection current path of a leakage current detection module. The leakage current detection and interruption device further includes a detection monitoring module, coupled in series to the detection current path, for detecting an open circuit condition in the detection current path. The device further includes a switch module and a drive module, which can cut off power supply in response to a detected leakage current or open circuit condition in the detection current path.

Abstract: A leakage current detection and protection device coupled between input and output ends of power lines, and includes first and second switching modules, a leakage current detection module, a self-test module, and first and second drive modules. When the leakage current detection module detects a leakage current on the power lines, the second drive module controls the second switching module to disconnect power to the output end. When the self-test module detects a fault in the leakage current detection module, the first drive module controls the first switching module to disconnect the power to the output ends. The first switching module is coupled between the input end and a point where the leakage current detection module, the self-test module, and the first and second drive modules are coupled, so that these modules are de-powered when the first switching module disconnects the electrical connection to output ends.

Abstract: A relay-type leakage current protection device includes a switch circuit, a relay circuit, a leakage current detection circuit, a self-test circuit, and a drive circuit. The switch circuit controls electrical connection between input and output ends of the power supply. The relay circuit is coupled to the input end and controls the open/close state of the switch circuit. The leakage current detection circuit detects a leakage current on the power supply lines. The self-test circuit is coupled to the power supply lines and the leakage current detection circuit, to generate a self-test pulse signal which simulates the leakage current and to detect a fault condition in the leakage current detection circuit. The drive circuit drives the relay circuit in response to receiving a leakage current signal from the leakage current detection circuit or a fault signal from the self-test circuit.

Abstract: A leakage current detection and interruption (LCDI) device includes a leakage current detection module, including first and second leakage current detection lines, a signal line, and at least one resistive element and/or at least one semiconductor element, configured to detect a leakage current signal on the first or second current-carrying line and to generate a leakage fault signal in response thereto. The first and second leakage current detection lines are electrically insulated from each other, and respectively cover one of the first and second current-carrying lines. A point at which the first and second leakage current detection lines are coupled to each other is coupled to the signal line, to form respective current paths with the signal line, for detecting an open circuit fault in the leakage current detection module.
