    Abstract: A directional coupler includes a primary transmission line electrically coupled in series between an input port and an output port of the coupler, and an asymmetric, meander-shaped, secondary transmission line, which is electrically coupled in series between a coupling port and an isolation port of the coupler. The secondary transmission line includes a first coupling segment, which is reactively coupled to a first portion of the primary transmission line, and a second coupling segment, which is reactively coupled to a second portion of the primary transmission line, and is spaced closer to, or farther from, the primary transmission line relative to the first coupling segment, such that an asymmetry in reactive coupling is present between the first and second portions of the primary transmission line and the secondary transmission line. An intermediate segment is provided, which is electrically coupled in series between the first and second coupling segments. A coupling port segment is provided, which is electrically connected in series between the first coupling segment and the coupling port. And, an isolation port segment is provided, which is electrically connected in series between the second coupling segment and the isolation port.

    Abstract: An antenna includes an elliptical waveguide having a plurality of length-tapered multi-slot arrays of elongate slots therein at respective spaced-apart locations along a length thereof. The plurality of length-tapered multi-slot arrays of elongate slots can include at least first and second length-tapered multi-slot arrays of elongate slots, which are spaced apart from each other along the length of the elliptical waveguide. The first length-tapered multi-slot array of elongate slots can include: (i) a first elongate slot having a first length and a first width, and (ii) a second elongate slot having a second length less than the first length and a second width that may be greater than the first width.

    Abstract: An antenna includes a cross-polarized feed signal network configured to convert first and second radio frequency (RF) input feed signals into first and second pairs of cross-polarized feed signals at respective first and second pairs of feed signal output ports. A patch carrier is provided on the cross-polarized feed signal network.
