Abstract: A family of connectors to accommodate a single twisted pair of conductors is disclosed herein. The family of connectors includes a free connector, a fixed connector, and an adapter; the free and/or fixed connectors can be modified to accommodate various patch cord and mounting configurations. In certain embodiments, the one or more of the family of connectors adopts an RJ 45 style connector or RJ 45 style jack/receptacle configuration in a reduced footprint, e.g. one-half, one-third or one-quarter the size of a standard RJ 45 connector or jack/receptacle.

Abstract: An enclosure includes a management insert disposed within a housing to divide the interior into three levels. Hybrid cables enter the housing at the first level. Electrical conductors of the hybrid cables are terminated at the second level. Optical fibers of the hybrid cables are terminated at the third level. Excess length of the optical fibers may be stored at the third level. The management insert may be fastened to the housing using plugs received at select ones of the cable entrance/exit locations. A dedicated furcation enclosure is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a telecommunications patch panel comprising a connector module and a frame member. The connector module has a front face and an opposite facing rear face. The front face includes a connector jack for receiving a plug of a first conductive wire. The rear face includes a connection location for connecting to a second conductive wire. The connector module defines an axis of rotation generally parallel to the front face. The frame member has a front face and a plurality of tabs on the front face. The connector module is rotatably mounted to the frame member for movement about the rotation axis, and the plurality of tabs engage with the rear face of the connector module to prevent over-rotation of the connector module.

Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure is directed to a connector. The connector is suited to connectorizing exactly two conductors. The connector includes a forward connector body, a rear connector body, a metal frame and exactly two electrical contacts. The rear connector body interfaces with the forward connector body. Further, the metal frame, which includes a shielding interface, surrounds at least a portion of both the forward and rear connector bodies. The electrical contacts extend from the rear connector body into the forward connector body. A first of the electrical contacts is electrically coupled to a first conductor of a shielded cable and the second of the electrical contacts is electrically coupled to a second conductor of the shielded cable. The shield interface of the metal frame is electrically coupled to the shield of the shielded cable.

Abstract: A multi-fiber fiber optic connector is provided having features that allow for changeability with respect to gender. A pin retention structure is configured to retain a pair of alignment pins and includes a pin-holder body with a pair of pin openings and a U-shaped spring clip. The spring clip including a base portion and two opposing legs, and is movable between a pin retaining position and a pin release position. When the spring clip is in the pin retaining position, the two opposing legs engage with outer sides of each of the alignment pins, and when the spring clip is in the pin release position, the base portion flexes inwardly and the two opposing legs disengage with the outer sides of each of the alignment pins.

Abstract: A family of connectors includes a plug, receptacle and adapter with the plug incorporating beam contacts, and the receptacle and adapter incorporating interfacing arched beam contacts. A z-configuration of the port(s) within the receptacle and adapter is configured to interface with the plug, which also presents a z-configuration. The parallel, upper and lower portions of the z-configuration of the plug incorporate the beam contacts. The first beam contact of the plug is rotated 180 degrees from the second beam contact of the plug; the arched beam contacts are similarly rotated. The plug, receptacle and adapter of a small form factor that is similar or identical to the formal factor of an optical fiber LC connector. The plug and receptacle can be configured for circuit board, cable or patch cord mounting. The plug and receptacle can be utilized in a multi-plug/multi-receptacle configuration.
