Abstract: A stator for an electric rotating machine includes an annular stator core, an outer cylinder fitted on a radially outer surface of the stator core, and a stator coil mounted on the stator core. The stator core is comprised of a plurality of stator core segments that are arranged in a circumferential direction of the stator core so as to adjoin one another in the circumferential direction. The stator coil is fixed to the stator core by a thermosetting resin that is set by induction-heating the stator core. Each of the stator core segments is formed by laminating a plurality of steel sheets in an axial direction of the stator core and fixing at least some of the steel sheets by staking. The number of staking portions formed in one of the steel sheets is different from the number of staking portions formed in another one of the steel sheets.

Abstract: A rotating electric machine includes a field system having a magnet section and an armature having a multi-phase armature coil. The magnet section has easy axes of magnetization oriented to be more parallel to a d-axis at locations closer to the d-axis than at locations closer to a q-axis. The magnet section has an intrinsic coercive force higher than or equal to 400 [kA/m] and a residual flux density higher than or equal to 1.0 [T]. There are no inter-conductor members provided between electrical conductor sections of the armature coil. The armature coil includes a plurality of phase windings each of which is constituted of a plurality of partial windings. Each of the partial windings is formed of an electrical conductor that is multiply wound in the electrical conductor sections of the same phase. In each of the phase windings, the partial windings are connected in parallel with each other.

Abstract: A rotary electric machine includes a rotor core and a stator core. The rotor core includes a steel plate laminated in an axial direction of a rotation shaft of a rotor. The stator core is provided outside an outer periphery of the rotor core and includes a steel plate laminated in the axial direction. An average plate thickness of the steel plate of the stator core is smaller than an average plate thickness of the steel plate of the rotor core. In the steel plate of the stator core, a plate thickness of a portion between a predetermined position and a radially outer edge in a radial direction around the rotation axis is smaller than a plate thickness of a portion between the predetermined position and a radially inner edge in the radial direction.
