    Abstract: In an onboard charging apparatus, a plurality of main electric-power storage apparatuses are connected in series to one another. A main electric-power storage apparatus on a lowest potential side of the main electric-power storage apparatuses is a lowest potential electric-power storage apparatus. The lowest potential electric-power storage apparatus has a nominal voltage that is set to 12 V, and supplies electric power to an electrical component mounted to a vehicle. In the onboard charging apparatus, a connecting unit selectively connects, by switching control, the output terminal and any of high potential side terminals of the main electric-power storage apparatuses. A switching control unit controls switching of the connecting unit to switch the high potential side terminal selected as a connection destination of the output terminal among the high potential side terminals of the main electric-power storage apparatuses, based on an output voltage of the output terminal.

    Abstract: In a rotary electric machine, a rotor, and a stator. The stator includes slots provided in a circumferential direction thereof, and stator windings wound in the slots. The stator windings include n groups of three-phase windings, where n is a power of 2. The slots include first slots each accommodating portions of same-group and same-phase windings in the n groups of three-phase windings. The energizing directions of the same-group and same-phase windings are identical to each other. The second slots each accommodate different-group and same-phase windings in the n groups of three-phase windings. The first slots and the second slots are arranged in the stator at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the stator, and the three-phase windings of each group are wound around the stator with regular intervals therebetween.

    Abstract: A rotating electric machine system includes a rotating electric machine and an electric power conversion circuit. The rotating electric machine includes N coils connected with each other to define a neutral point therebetween. The electric power conversion circuit includes N high-side switches, N low-side switches, a selector switch, a full-wave driver, a half-wave driver and a drive controller. The full-wave driver performs a full-wave drive process with high potential-side terminals of the low-side switches respectively connected with low potential-side terminals of the high-side switches by the selector switch. The half-wave driver performs a half-wave drive process with the high potential-side terminals of the low-side switches connected with the neutral point by the selector switch. The drive controller controls both the full-wave driver and the half-wave driver to selectively cause either the full-wave driver to perform the full-wave drive process or the half-wave driver to perform the half-wave drive process.

    Abstract: A stator for a rotating electric machine includes a stator core and a stator coil. The stator core is formed of a band-shaped steel sheet that is helically bent and laminated. The stator core has slots each opening at an inner periphery of the stator core and spaced from one another in a circumferential direction. The stator coil is formed of electrical conductor segments that are inserted in the slots of the stator core and connected with one another. The band-shaped steel sheet has slits each of which is formed, at a position corresponding to one of the slots, to be open to the corresponding slot. Each of the electrical conductor segments is substantially U-shaped and has a pair of leg portions respectively inserted in corresponding two of the slots of the stator core; the corresponding two slots are circumferentially apart from each other by two or more slot-pitches.

    Abstract: A rotating electric machine apparatus includes a rotating electric machine and a full-bridge inverter. The full-bridge inverter includes first high-side switches, first low-side switches, second high-side switches, and second low-side switches.
