    Abstract: A heater device includes a light transmissive film heater configured to apply to an optical window that is arranged adjacent to a sensor unit for detecting light and includes a detection surface having a light transmitting property, and including a heating portion heating the optical window, and a heat generating portion configured to generate heat in a predetermined region. The light transmissive film heater includes a first electrode arranged radially outside about a center line of the detection surface in the heating portion, a second electrode arranged in the heating portion so as to interpose the detection surface from both sides together with the first electrode, and a first heat generation region that generates heat according to a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode generated by energization from the first electrode to the second electrode via the heating portion.

    Abstract: A driving monitoring system monitors a driver of a host vehicle by a vehicle control unit and a portable terminal which communicate with each other. The vehicle control unit controls the host vehicle. The portable terminal includes a display screen and a camera arranged to capture an image of an area opposing the display screen. The driver monitoring system determines whether the driver of the host vehicle looks at the display screen of the portable terminal during running of the host vehicle, based on an image captured by the camera; the driver monitoring system issues a warning in response to that the driver is determined to be looking at the display screen of the portable terminal.

    Abstract: An air-conditioning control apparatus includes a determiner and a controller. The determiner is configured to determine whether a subject vehicle is in a slipstream of a preceding vehicle when the subject vehicle is in autonomous control and following the preceding vehicle. The controller is configured to increase a flow rate of air flowing through a condenser for an air-conditioning of the subject vehicle when the determiner determines that the subject vehicle is in the slipstream of the preceding vehicle. According to this, even when the subject vehicle is in the slipstream and following the preceding vehicle during the autonomous control, the flow rate of the air flowing through the condenser can be increased by the controller. Accordingly, the flow rate of the air flowing through the condenser of the subject vehicle can be secured in the condition where the inter-vehicle distance from the preceding vehicle is small during vehicle platooning.

    Abstract: An autonomous valet parking system includes a terminal device, a vehicle, and a server device installed to a parking lot. When receiving a temporary key request from a server device, a terminal device verifies the request, generates a temporary key, and transmits the temporary key to a vehicle and the server device. The server device determines a target parking position of the vehicle, and transmits, to the vehicle, the temporary key and target position information. The vehicle verifies the temporary keys from the terminal device and the server device, generates a drive plan including a route to the target parking position, and transmits the drive plan to the server device. The server device verifies whether the drive plan is available, and notifies the vehicle. When the drive plan is verified to be available by the server device, the vehicle executes autonomous driving control according to the drive plan.

    Abstract: An air conditioner for a vehicle includes: a compressor that compresses refrigerant for conditioning air in a vehicle cabin and defines a refrigeration cycle; a detecting section that detects a thermal load of air-conditioning in the vehicle cabin; and a control section that controls a rotational speed of the compressor such that the thermal load detected by the detecting section satisfies a predetermined air conditioning request in the vehicle cabin. In case where the air conditioning request is satisfied by controlling the rotational speed of the compressor, the control section periodically switches between a reference rotational speed and a low rotational speed that is lower than the reference rotational speed in order to maintain a state where the air conditioning request is satisfied. The reference rotational speed is a rotational speed within a predetermined range that includes the rotational speed at which the air conditioning request is satisfied.
