    Abstract: A rotor includes a rotating shaft and a pair of first and second pole cores fixed on the rotating shaft. Each of the first and second pole cores includes a plurality of magnetic pole claws each having a root portion and a distal end. Each of the magnetic pole claws are configured to have a constant circumferential width at the root portion and taper from the root portion to the distal end. The magnetic pole claws of the first pole core are arranged alternately with those of the second pole core in a circumferential direction of the rotating shaft. Further, at least part of the magnetic pole claws of the first and second pole cores each have at least one chamfered portion formed at a circumferential end of the root portion of the magnetic pole claw so as to extend parallel to an axial direction of the rotating shaft.

    Abstract: A stator includes an annular stator core, a stator coil and a plurality of lead wires. The stator coil is comprised of windings mounted on the stator core and has a coil end part protruding from an axial end face of the stator core. Each of the lead wires is made up of a corresponding one of end portions of the windings of the stator coil. The lead wires include, at least, a first lead wire and a second lead wire. The first lead wire has a radially-extending part that adjoins the coil end part of the stator coil and extends in a radial direction of the stator core. The second lead wire has a circumferentially-extending part that adjoins and intersects the radially-extending part of the first lead wire and is located on the opposite side of the radially-extending part to the coil end part of the stator coil.

    Abstract: A rotating electric machine includes a hollow cylindrical stator core and a stator coil mounted on the stator core. The stator core has a plurality of slots that are arranged in a circumferential direction of the stator core. The stator coil is formed of a plurality of substantially U-shaped electric conductor segments to include at least one Δ-Y connection. The Δ-Y connection is comprised of a Δ-connected first three-phase winding and a Y-connected second three-phase winding. The first three-phase winding includes three phase windings that are Δ-connected to define three terminals of the first three-phase winding therebetween. The second three-phase winding includes three phase windings that are respectively connected to the three terminals of the first three-phase winding. Further, the number of turns of the first three-phase winding and the number of turns of the second three-phase winding are respectively set to two different odd numbers.

    Abstract: A controller-integrated rotating electrical machine incudes a rotating electrical machine and a control device. The rotating electrical machine is equipped with a stator and a rotor. The control device is equipped with a control circuit for an inverter circuit and an angle position sensing device which works to measure an angular position of the rotor. The control device has first substrate on which the control circuit is mounted and a second substrate on which the angle position sensing device is mounted. The first substrate is located closer to the rotating electrical machine than the angle position sensing device is in an axial direction of the controller-integrated rotating electrical machine. This minimizes adverse effects of magnetic flux, as generated by the rotating electrical machine, on operation of the angle position sensing device, thereby enhancing a measurement accuracy of the angle positon sensing device.

    Abstract: A rotor core includes a shaft hole, into which a shaft is inserted, and keys, which are protrusions corresponding to keyways of the shaft. A radial distance, which is the distance from the center of the shaft hole to an inner wall varies depending on the position in the circumferential direction of the shaft hole. The shaft hole includes key regions and increased diameter regions, in each of which the radial distance is longer than the radius of the shaft. Keys are respectively arranged in the key region. The shaft hole also includes contact regions, in which the shaft and the inner wall come into contact with each other when the shaft is inserted into the shaft hole. The contact regions are each located between the key regions or between the increased diameter regions. The contact regions are arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction.
