    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods for facilitating inter-network communication and network function connections are provided. In one example, a method includes: receiving a roaming request from a user equipment (UE) subscribed to a home network and roaming into a visited network, determining a plurality of first network functions (NFs) of the visited network, generating a Network Repository Function (NRF) discovery request for NFs of the home network, the NRF discovery request indicating an identity, operational parameters, and the plurality of first NFs of the visited network, asl well as requirements for NFs of the home network for establishing the inter-network NF connections, determining a plurality of second NFs of the home network according to the requirements of the NRF discovery request, generating an NRF discovery response indicating an identity, operational parameters, and the plurality of second NFs of the home network, and verifying the plurality of second NFs.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for performing a call trace with a cloud-implemented cellular network core are provided. In one example, a method includes: receiving input of a cloud computing region of a cloud computing platform for call trace, identifying a plurality of instantiations of a pod within a cellular network core function of a cellular network core, the cellular network core function being executed on the cloud-computing platform, and executing a call trace for the plurality of instantiations of the pod within the cellular network core function. The cellular network core of a cellular network is implemented across multiple cloud computing regions, and the cellular network core is implemented on the cloud computing platform that includes a plurality of cloud computing regions that includes the cloud computing region.

    Abstract: Various arrangements for performing health monitoring of cellular network functions in a cloud-computing environment are presented. A cloud computing region may be input for analysis. A 5G cellular network core may be implemented on a cloud computing platform. Input of a cellular core function for analysis may also be received. Instantiations of the cellular core function and pods of the cellular core function executed within the cloud computing region can be identified. A customized test query can be performed based on the input of the cellular core function. A status of the cellular core function can be output based on the customized test query.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments, the systems and methods disclosed herein can utilize a blocking service to prevent malfunctioning NF instances from being discovered by consumer NF instances in discovery requests within a wireless network (e.g., a 5G network). The blocking service can be integrated into an NRF of the wireless network and can be used to add a malfunctioning NF instance to a block list. Additionally, the blocking service can prevent any malfunctioning NF instance on the block list from being returned to a consumer NF instance during a discovery request. When an NF producer instance is determined to be malfunctioning and subsequently added to the block list, the blocking service can trigger a notification to be sent to an NF consumer instance that is utilizing the affected NF producer instance. Upon receipt of this notification, the NF producer instance can cease its consumption of the malfunctioning producer NF instance.
