摘要: A cutting apparatus for cutting a corner from sheet material to a selectable profile. In one set of embodiments, the cutting apparatus comprises a cutting assembly that includes a cutting element having a plurality of cutting profiles wherein each cutting profile may have a unique profile. The cutting assembly is configured such that an active cutting profile is selectable from the plurality of cutting profiles available on the cutting element. Engagement of the active cutting profile with one or more pieces of sheet material cuts a corner from the sheet material to a profile indicative of the active cutting profile. Cutting profiles may include curves having a uniform or variable radius of curvature and other forms appropriate for cutting a corner of sheet material.

摘要: An assembly line for manufacturing filter canisters is disclosed. The method for assembling filter canisters provides a unique serial number for each canister and a database that associates the component lot numbers, activated charcoal weight, and quality assurance test results with the serial number for the filter canister. The manufacturing method can be adapted for assembly of canisters with activated charcoal and an aerosol HEPA filter, canisters with activated charcoal only, and canisters with an aerosol HEPA filter only. Some embodiments can also enable different testing conditions and specifications, activated charcoal loading requirements, labeling specifications, and packaging requirements.

摘要: A mobile pumping station includes a mobile base frame designed to be moved across the ground and a slurry vessel mounted on the mobile base frame and connected to a liquid supply. A primary feed hopper also mounted on the mobile base frame receives a mineral and transfers the mineral to the slurry vessel. The primary feed hopper can be adjusted to achieve a predetermined flow of the mineral to the slurry vessel so that the ratio of the mineral to the liquid can be controlled. The mobile pumping station can be moved into a position adjacent a mineral deposit such that a portion of the mineral deposit can be loaded into the slurry vessel. The mineral is formed into a flowable slurry by combining liquid from the liquid supply with the mineral, and thereafter the flowable slurry is discharged from the vessel via a slurry pump.

摘要: An imaging device having a lens focusing light from a selected scene within an optical footprint, and a substrate including a primary array and at least one navigation array which are positioned within the optical footprint. The primary array acquires a desired image of a portion of the selected scene during an integration period and the at least one navigation array acquires a series of images during the integration period, including a first and a second image having common features from the selected scene. A correlator determines location differences of the common features of the first and second images relative to the at least one navigation array and provides a displacement signal indicative of imaging device translation in two planar dimensions during an interval between the first and second images based on the location differences.

摘要: A collapsible patient isolation pod for preventing flow of contaminants to or from a patient is disclosed. The isolation pod is preferably fabricated at least partially from a transparent, biochemically resistive material and includes a flexible enclosure that is configurable to receive a contaminated patient therein. The top is maintained spaced apart from the bottom such that the top is maintained out of physical contact with a contaminated patient received in the enclosure. The isolation pod has a plurality of wide, gloved access points to allow easy, multiple access points to a patient. A central connection manifold for oxygen, intravenous connections, or other fluids, may optionally be provided. Ventilation is provided within the isolation chamber with a negative pressure ventilation system and filtration on the air input near the patient's head, and provides filtration on output near the patient's feet. An integral pocket underneath the isolation pod may be provided to allow for a spine board or stretcher to be used. The invention provides a patient isolation system that permits health care providers safe and relatively unencumbered access to the isolated patient.

摘要: A water toy that ejects a stream of water under pressure and in one embodiment is particularly suited to serve as a water-sword toy and in another embodiment to serve as a pump-action water gun toy is disclosed. In both embodiments, the water toy includes a wide mouth reservoir that accepts ordinarily available ice cubes which cooperate with water so that chilled water is emitted, under pressure, which may have some soothing benefits, especially during hot summer conditions. The water-sword toy not only emits water upon contact of its tip by an object, but also has provisions for emitting water out of its tip without contacting any object. The pump-action water gun toy has provisions to provide for a straight or spread water trajectory so as to simulate a rifle-water toy or a shotgun-water toy.

摘要: Disclosed is a system for detecting multiple approaching vehicles and sending alert signals over a communication network. The system includes one or more vehicle mounted units, wherein at least one vehicle mounted unit is attached to a vehicle for capturing and processing data of approaching vehicles. The vehicle mounted unit includes a camera for capturing digital data, a storage unit to store a set of instructions and a pre-defined time value, a vehicle class list; a processing unit for processing the set of instructions, and a communication unit to send alert signals, vehicles and object digital data over the communication network. The set of instructions includes a detection module for detecting multiple approaching vehicles and objects in a single frame, a measurement module for measuring the time between the camera and the approaching vehicles, and an alert module for generating an alert signal for the rider if the time between the camera and the approaching vehicle is less than the pre-defined time value.
