Abstract: A power distribution system includes a bus plug having an electrical switch configured to selectively control energization of the bus plug. The bus plug includes an electrical switch having a control knob operable to selectively control energization of the bus plug, and an actuator having an actuator adaptor coupling that couples movement of the actuator to the control knob. The bus plug includes a partition wall separating the internal volume into a line side and a load side. The bus plug includes an external handle coupled to mechanical linkages, and an adaptor bracket fixed to at least one of the mechanical linkages and oriented to interact with the control knob. The bus plug includes an actuator operable to move the mechanical linkages. Methods of controlling energization of a bus plug with a remote application and communication module configured to operate an actuator are also provided.

Abstract: A power distribution system includes a plurality of bus plugs. Each of a respective bus plug of the plurality of bus plugs includes an electrical switch configured to selectively control a corresponding energization of the respective bus plug and an actuator operable to control a corresponding electrical switch. The system includes a remote application having commands defining the energization of at least one of the plurality of bus plugs. The system further includes a communication module configured to communicate the commands from the remote application to the at least one of the plurality of bus plugs. The commands cause the corresponding actuator to control the corresponding electrical switch. Methods of controlling energization of a bus plug with a remote application and communication module configured to operate an actuator are also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus includes: a plurality of separable load break devices, each separable load break device including: a resettable current interruption device associated with operating states, the operating states including at least a first operating state that prevents current flow in the resettable current interruption device and a second operating state that allows current flow in the resettable current interruption device; a switch control configured to control the operating state of the resettable current interruption device; a connection interface configured to mechanically connect the load break device to a separate electrical device and to electrically connect the resettable current interruption device to the separate electrical device; and an electrical interface configured to electrically connect the resettable current interruption device to a load. The apparatus also includes a control system configured to provide electrically ganged operation of the plurality of load break devices.
