摘要: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing that holds pairs of signal modules adjacent one another. Each signal module includes a mating edge having a row of mating contacts, a mounting edge having a row of mounting contacts, and a plurality of conductors electrically connecting each mating contact with a respective mounting contact. The mating contacts in adjacent modules have a first contact spacing therebetween, and the mounting contacts in adjacent modules have a second spacing therebetween. The conductors in adjacent modules have a third spacing therebetween. The second and third spacings are selected to provide a pre-determined impedance through the signal modules.

摘要: An electrical connector is provided that comprises a contact having a straight body portion defining, and extending along, a linear axis. The body portion has one end formed integral with a contact tail that is configured to be joined to a circuit board. The body portion has an opposed end formed integral with a curved engagement end configured to engage a mating connector. The connector further includes an outer shell and a contact retention module. The outer shell has a mating end configured to be joined with a mating connector and has a board-engaging end configured to be joined to a circuit board. The outer shell has an interior cavity opening onto the mating end and an open socket facing the board-engaging end. The contact retention module is over molded about the straight body portion of the contact. The contact retention module is held within the open socket of the outer shell with the curved engagement portion extending beyond the contact retention module into the cavity.

摘要: A method that includes the following effects: the ability to expand, porositize, clean, decontaminate, debride, break-down and/or destroys, or aids and accentuates the dissolution or extraction of biological structures, nerves and tissues. The methodology uses nano-technology and/or other chemistries may or may not be excited by energy sources to expand and porositize the tissue, which enhances the penetration and effectiveness and acceleration of subsequent chemical, mechanical, and/or procedural steps in the protocol or process. Furthermore, the method includes the ability to associate with and/or initiate in the reconstructive growth and healing process associated with healthy tissue after surgery and/or the ability to destroy diseased or necrotic tissues or cells. The method also includes the ability to begin, construct or stage the activation of cells and/or tissues, including the area of transplantation and use in stem or primordial cell accentuation, their attachment and/or stimulation for growth and differentiation.

摘要: An electrical connector includes a housing and a plurality of contact modules in the housing. Each contact module includes a mating edge and a mounting edge. Each mating and mounting edge has a row of contacts including signal and ground contacts arranged in one of a first and second pattern. Adjacent contact modules in the housing have a different one of the first and second patterns. The first and second patterns each include pairs of signal contacts and individual ground contacts arranged in an alternating sequence. Each mating edge contact is electrically connected to a corresponding mounting edge contact by signal conductors and ground conductors extending along a predetermined path within the contact module. Each ground conductor has a width transverse to the predetermined path that is substantially equal to a combined transverse width across a pair of signal conductors in an adjacent contact module. The ground conductor shields the pair of signal conductors in the adjacent contact module.

摘要: A test bearing is adapted from a standard production bearing for recording the location and magnitude of load applied to the bearing when installed and operated in its intended environment. A groove is typically formed in the stationary raceway of a cylindrical or tapered roller bearing and a relatively soft ductile wire is inserted into the groove. A plurality of axially spaced circumferential grooves may be fitted with wires for the determination of any potentional misalignment of the bearing. The bearing is then operated under normal conditions such that the inserted wires are plastically deformed. The extent of plastic deformation of the wire provides an accurate indication of the loading of the bearing.

摘要: An assembly for testing the rolling contact fatigue of a test element for evaluating the differences in the fatigue life between like materials manufactured by different manufacturers or the fatigue life of different bearing materials, heat treatments, surface coatings, lubricants, operating variables, etc. The assembly is configured to rotate load balls around a track in contact with a stationary test element. By allowing the test element to remain stationary during the test, sensors can be installed directly onto or into the element. It is possible to configure the present assembly so that sensors may be placed within millimeters of the rolling contact test track effectively eliminating outside noise and error signals and increasing the accuracy of the sensor measurements. The stationary mounting of the test element also facilitates control of the temperature of the element. In addition, studies of crack initiation and propagation rates on a scale not possible before and the study of the delamination of surface coating would be made possible with the present invention.

摘要: A quantitative magnetic separator and method for isolating non-magnetic particles from contaminated magnetic powder mixtures to determine the relative purity of magnetic powder. The separation is effected by restraining the powder mixture below a relatively moving magnetic field which agitates the magnetic particles and allows the non-magnetic particles to disengage and free-fall by gravity into a receiver for subsequent measurement of the degree of contamination.

摘要: A hardness testing device of the type adapted to measure the hardness of workpieces by indentation of the surface stratum thereof by an indenter or penetrating device. The depth of penetration of the workpiece under a prescribed load applied to the penetrating device is proportional to the hardness of the workpiece, which in turn is visually and/or audibly communicated by a variable fluid flow sensing system associated with the penetrating means. The testing device is readily adapted for automatic operation to test individual workpieces at commercial production rates to assure they are within prescribed quality and/or hardness limits.
