Abstract: An operation method of a repeater performing relaying between a base station and a first terminal in a communication system may comprise: receiving one or more signals from at least one of the base station and the first terminal; performing monitoring on the one or more signals in a time interval for which a transmission direction is not determined by the base station; and determining the transmission direction of the time interval based on a result of the monitoring, wherein the one or more signals include at least one of a first signal received from the base station or a second signal received from the first terminal.

Abstract: A frame transmission method and a wireless communication apparatus performing the same. A frame transmission method performed by a first wireless communication apparatus includes receiving subframe unit length information of a second wireless communication apparatus from the second wireless communication apparatus, determining a subframe unit length of the first wireless communication apparatus based on the received subframe unit length information, generating a plurality of subframes based on the determined subframe unit length, and transmitting a frame in which the generated subframes are aggregated to the second wireless communication apparatus, and wherein, when at least one of the subframes includes a padding, a length of the padding allows a length of the at least one of the subframes including the padding to be a multiple of a natural number of the determined subframe unit length.

Abstract: Provided are a machine type communication (MTC) support method and apparatus capable of providing efficient MTC service. First, when a base station transmits a subframe to which an MTC-physical control format indicator channel (PCFICH) is allocated using an MTC-PCFICH code that is cyclic-shifted on the basis of a control format indicator (CFI) to MTC user equipment (UE), the MTC UE detects the MTC- PCFICH from the received subframe by performing blind decoding of a cyclic shift, and detects a region occupied by a legacy physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on the basis of the detected MTC-PCFICH. Accordingly, it is possible to support efficient MTC service in a Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Long Term Evolution (LTE)-based mobile communication system while maintaining compatibility with a legacy LTE station.
