Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of regenerating an at least partially deactivated catalyst, preferably an aromatic alkylation or transalkylation catalyst, comprising a molecular sieve. The method comprises the step of contacting the deactivated catalyst with an ozone-containing gas, preferably at a temperature of about 50° C. to about 250° C.
