摘要: A method to regenerate and reactivate catalysts used for a carbon and syngas production reaction including a DRM or CARGEN reaction is developed. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is used as the regeneration and activation media. This method of a single step regeneration and activation using CO2 is more effective than the existing conventional two-step process that includes separate reduction and oxidation steps. This method produces pure carbon monoxide (CO) as a byproduct from the regeneration process by utilizing CO2 and carbon.

摘要: A process for combusting coke from catalyst in partial burn mode is disclosed. The partial burn regenerator runs deprived of oxygen such that the flue gas will contain a fair amount of carbon monoxide. The oxygen present in the flue gas can burn in the bed before reaching the dilute phase. The catalyst distributor is positioned in the upper chamber of the regeneration vessel for discharging the catalyst.

摘要: Described herein are materials and methods for improved catalytic oligomerization of an ethylene monomer and/or propylene monomer. The present disclosure teaches oligomerizing the ethylene monomer or propylene monomer to produce oligomers. Also described is a heterogeneous catalyst comprising sulfate modified nickel on titanium modified alumina and a surface modification with yttrium (Y) suitable for use in the disclosed oligomerization.

摘要: Provided is a method for easily and safely removing, from a reactor, a catalyst used in a reaction that is performed using hydrogen fluoride in the presence of the catalyst. In a reaction performed in a reactor containing at least hydrogen fluoride and a catalyst, the catalyst is removed through a process comprising a heating step of performing heat-treatment so that the ambient temperature of the reactor is 80° C. or more after completion of the reaction, and a purge step of flowing inert gas into the reactor to discharge the hydrogen fluoride to the outside of the reactor after completion of the reaction.

摘要: Systems for dehydrogenating an alkane are provided. An exemplary system includes a furnace and further includes alkane heating chambers, regeneration mixture heating chambers, and two groups of reaction chambers, all located within the furnace. The alkane heating chambers and regeneration mixture heating chambers can preheat an alkane feed and a regeneration mixture feed, respectively. The two groups of reaction chambers can be switchably coupled to an alkane feed and a regeneration mixture feed such that an alkane can flow through one group of reaction chambers while a regeneration mixture flows through the other group of reaction chambers. Processes for dehydrogenating an alkane are also provided.

摘要: A process of catalytically dehydrogenating an alkane to an alkene, using Cr2O3 as a catalyst, where the catalyst is reduced concurrently with the dehydrogenation by using CO as a reducing gas. In reducing the catalyst with CO, CO2 is produced, which may be reacted with H2 produced by the dehydrogenation, to form CO and H2O by the reverse water-gas shift reaction. A Cu O heat-releasing material may be included with the catalyst in the reactor. The CO reducing gas reduces CuO to form Cu and CO2, releasing heat. The CO2 produced by reducing the Cu O may also be reacted with H2 produced by the dehydrogenation, to form CO and H2O by the reverse water-gas shift reaction.
