Abstract: A method for wake-up radio group ID (GID) allocation includes generating, by an access point and prior to a station associating to the access point, a first Group-ID and a second Group-ID, wherein the station comprises a Wake-Up Radio, receiving, by the access point, a request from the station to associate, determining, by the access point, whether the station belongs in the first Group-ID or the second Group-ID, assigning, by the access point and based on the determining, the station to the first Group-ID, and sending, by the access point, a Wake-Up Packet to the Wake-Up Radio of the station using the first Group-ID.

Abstract: An access point configured to manage client devices connected to the access point. The access point initiates an operational change. The access point generates an announcement to be included in a network frame based on the operational change. The announcement includes at least a list of neighboring access points with which the client devices can connect to and a first time period by which the client devices must connect to at least one neighboring access point included in the list of neighboring access points. The access point broadcasts the network frame to the client devices. Upon expiration of the first time period, the access point disassociates client devices that remain connected to the access point.

Abstract: Methods for assigning effective isotopic radiated power to an access point in a wireless network are provided. In one aspect, a method includes determining weights for neighboring access points in a wireless network based on channel frequency and basic service set color assignments. For a particular access point, a first path loss based on the determined weights and a second path loss based on the neighboring access points are calculated. First and second effective isotopic radiated power values are calculated based on the respective first and second path losses. The effective isotopic radiated power of the particular access point is adjusted based on the lower of the first and second calculated effective isotopic radiated power values. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for grouping client devices for uplink multi-user transmission are provided. Client device groups may be determined based on at least one of traffic compatibility/similarity, client device class compatibility/similarity, and uplink pathloss similarity. A target received signal strength measured by an AP with which client devices in the client device groups communicate and an appropriate modulation coding scheme rate to be used by the client devices may be determined and set for the client devices. The modulation coding scheme rate can be adjusted based on feedback regarding successful data packet reception at the AP from each of the client devices.
