    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for promoting intersection takeoff awareness. The system includes a database storing runway data that includes identifications and locations of runways, identifications and locations of intersections along the runways, and lengths of the runways, a sensor system configured to generate aircraft position data that includes a current position of the aircraft, a display device, and a controller configured to, by a processor: retrieve the runway data, receive the aircraft position data, identify a first intersection of a first runway as the aircraft approaches the first intersection, determine a runway distance available from the first intersection, and display, on the display device, prior to the aircraft entering the first runway, the runway distance from the first intersection and/or an indication as to whether the runway distance from the first intersection is sufficient for takeoff based on performance parameters of the aircraft and safe takeoff criteria.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for selecting a runway record for a target runway are provided. The system includes: a first database having a first runway record with a first runway threshold; a second database having a second runway record with a second runway threshold; a transceiver for receiving an ILS signal; and a computer system. The computer system is configured to determine when the ILS signal is substantially zero. When the ILS signal is substantially zero, the computer system is configured to receive, from one or more databases, a plurality of runway records including corresponding runway thresholds; and select a most accurate runway record from the plurality of runway records based, at least in part, on which of the corresponding runway thresholds deviates least from the aiming point. In various embodiments, the most accurate runway record is then utilized for rendering images in a cockpit display system.

    Abstract: A system and method for alerting when a trend vector associated with a traffic aircraft is predicted to intercept a travel route of an ownship aircraft. A control module receives real-time aircraft state data, flight plan data, and traffic data associated with the traffic aircraft. The control module processes these data and constructs the travel route of the ownship aircraft from the current location to the intended destination The control module generates the trend vector associated with the traffic aircraft, predicts a location of an intersection of the trend vector and the travel route, determines an amount of time it will take for the ownship aircraft to reach the location of the intersection, and generates display commands that cause the display device to generate an alert that visually distinguishes the location on the image based at least in part on the amount of time.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for flight control of a supersonic ownship are provided. The systems utilize sources of weather data, a flight management system (FMS) of the supersonic ownship, and sources of neighbor traffic data. The systems generate a complete neighbor traffic flight trajectory, and then process the complete neighbor traffic flight trajectory with a flight plan of the supersonic ownship, aircraft specific parameters, and forecasted and real-time weather data to generate therefrom a safe sonic altitude for flying the supersonic ownship. The safe sonic altitude is transmitted to air traffic control (ATC) as a request for an assignment. Upon receiving the assignment from ATC, the systems notify the pilot of the assignment and continue monitoring airspace for real-time changes in the flight path trajectory of the neighbor traffic. The sonic altitude is updated based on a detected real-time change in the flight path trajectory of the neighbor traffic.

The method includes displaying at least a first time ring in an avionic display; displaying at least a second time ring in the avionic display wherein the first and second time rings include a pair of visually spaced apart time rings wherein a visual spacing apart between the first and second time rings is indicative of a range and a separation flight time between each of the time rings; and displaying, about at least the first time ring in the avionic display, a distance marker of a value for a range and a time marker of a value for separation flight time about an ownship's position and airspeed, and to at least one time ring.
