Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing or requesting data for simulating avionics systems. For example, a method for providing data for simulating avionics systems may include: receiving, from a client device, a first message requesting information usable by the client device to simulate a functionality of an avionics system, the first message being in a web services data format; converting the first message to an avionics protocol data format to obtain a first converted message; providing the first converted message to a server application; receiving, from the server application, a second message including the requested information, the second message being in the avionics protocol data format; converting the second message to the web services data format to obtain a second converted message; and providing, to the client device, the second converted message.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for guiding or otherwise assisting energy management of an aircraft en route to a runway. A method to optimize managing energy of an aircraft in a landing trajectory when deploying landing gear, the system including evaluating an energy state for the aircraft for a set of flight trajectories including a lateral and a vertical trajectory for a flight path in an approach phase to a runway; identifying at least one energy state for the aircraft based on a set of formulated computations based on an altitude and speed of a vertical aircraft profile on the flight path in the approach phase; and assessing in an envelope region a landing gear extension to manage the excess energy at a prediction location in the flight path; and deploy the landing gear responsive to an assessed change in the aircraft energy state in route to the runway.

Abstract: Systems and methods for modifying multiple element request datalink messages in avionics system are provided. A method includes generating a plurality of downlink message element information at a verify screen displayed by a display. The method further allows for the changing of at least one downlink message element information of the plurality of downlink message element information within the verify screen. Moreover, the method concatenates the plurality of downlink message element information after the changing of the at least one element information in preparation of generating a concatenating downlink message element information message to be downlinked.

Abstract: A method for obtaining, analyzing, and using pilot report (PIREP) data onboard an aircraft is provided. The method detects information relevant to one or more PIREPs associated with a current flight path of the aircraft, based on aircraft state data and avionics data obtained from a plurality of avionics systems, by at least one processor onboard the aircraft, wherein the one or more PIREPs includes at least one of instrumental PIREPs and pilot experience PIREPs; automatically completes a set of incomplete PIREPs associated with the current flight path using the information relevant to the one or more PIREPs, by the at least one processor, to generate complete PIREPs; and presents the complete PIREPs via a display device onboard the aircraft.

Abstract: A vehicular situation display including a user interface, a display, and a processor is provided to modify a vertical profile of a flight plan. The processor may generate vertical profile display data on the display based, receive a request to edit the vertical profile, expand the vertical profile display data on the display, generate a first movable reference line corresponding to one of an altitude, a distance and a time, receive, from the user interface, a flight plan change request to change an altitude, distance or time of the flight plan, the altitude, distance or time corresponding to the first movable reference line, generate a preview of an updated flight plan, and transmit the approval of the displayed updated flight plan to a flight management system, the flight management system configured to update the flight plan of the aircraft based upon the command to change the flight plan.
