摘要: A computer-implemented method may be used for training aircraft operators. The method may include determining a set of recommended flight training topics for a target aircraft operator, and receiving flight data recorded from simulator training performed by the aircraft operator or operation of aircraft by the aircraft operator. Additionally, the method may include analyzing the flight data to determine a proficiency evaluation, the proficiency evaluation being a measure of proficiency of the aircraft operator in one or more training topics, and adjusting the set of recommended flight training topics based on proficiency evaluation.

摘要: A virtual reality vehicle and/or equipment training system and platform within contextually relevant simulated environments. The system and platform simulates accurate vehicle and/or equipment dynamics of various vehicles through vehicle modules. The simulated vehicles and/or equipment are placed within contextually relevant simulated physical environments, and communicate with other vehicle modules and users of the platform. The system and platform allows for multiple simulated vehicles and/or equipment to exist and interact in the same simulated physical environment. The system allows for rapid development of trainers for different vehicles, different equipment, different physical environments, and different scenarios. The characteristics of the system which most directly enable this rapid development are the use of commodity computer hardware, use of common interface-deployment toolkits, and use of a data-driven architecture where participating modules are generic until being configured at runtime. The system and platform is capable of responsiveness measurement and assessment of a simulator occupant.

摘要: An interactive computer simulation system, station and method for training a user in the performance of a task through a training activity. A tangible instrument module allows a user to interact with the tangible instrument module for controlling a virtual element. A plurality of performance metric datasets representing results of the interactions between the user and the tangible instrument module is obtained. During execution of the interactive computer simulation, in the plurality of performance metric datasets, a plurality of actual maneuvers of the virtual element are detected during the training activity, one or more standard operating procedures (SOPs) are identified for the training activity from a plurality of the individually detected actual maneuvers. In real-time upon detection of the SOPs, information for display in the interactive computer simulation related the SOPs.

When an omission action is performed with the controller in a series of actions in the simulation training, the training terminal omits a predetermined action of the avatar and updates the simulation image from a state before the predetermined action to a state after the predetermined action.

摘要: Method and systems for executing an interactive computer simulation of a simulated vehicle. A central repository comprises a synthetic natural environment database (SNEDB) that comprises data for a plurality of geographically-located terrain skin representations of a computer generated. A remote data management system maintains the remote repository comprising a subset of the SNEDB accessible to an interactive computer simulation station. The interactive computer simulation station sends, over the network, a data request for geographical locations from the SNEDB and allows users to interact in the interactive computer simulation for controlling the simulated vehicle. The remote data management system computes a plurality of expected geographical positions for the first simulation station and anticipatorily updates, via the network, the subset of the SNEDB stored in the remote repository with a supplemental subset of the SNEDB corresponding to one or more of the computed expected geographical positions.

Each first sensory cue of the plurality of first sensory cues is dependent on a position of at least one body member of a performer relative to a performance element of a performance object with which an event is performed. The plurality of first sensory cues being effective for stimulating a first processing center of a brain of the user. A plurality of visual sensory cues are generated capable of being displayed to the user on a video display device. The visual sensory cues providing a virtual visual indication to the user of the position of the at least one body member. The visual sensory cues being effective for stimulating the visual processing center of the brain of the user. The visual sensory cues being synchronized with the first sensory cues so that the position of the at least one body member is virtually visually indicated in synchronization with the first sensory cue and so that the visual processing center is stimulated with a visual sensory cue in synchronization with a first sensory cue stimulating the first processing center. The synchronized stimulation of the first processing center and the visual processing center is effective for teaching the user to perform a version of the event.

摘要: A toggle selector switch includes an activator stylus mounted in a housing to be pivotable about at least one axis. The toggle selector switch further includes at least one pushbutton switch positioned axially in the housing to be engaged when the elongate activator stylus is pivoted. The at least one pushbutton switch includes a mounting base including a contact and a first electrically conductive dome coupled to the mounting base. The first electrically conductive dome is positioned above the contact and is adapted and configured to flex under an applied force and to then touch the contact to complete a circuit and to return when the force is withdrawn. The activator stylus and the at least one pushbutton switch are adapted and configured such that the pushbutton switch outputs a signal indicating that the activator stylus has been moved in one of four directions.
