    摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling the traversing frequency during the winding of a cross-wound package. In so doing, a signal is detected which is generated by the motion of the yarn while being wound onto a yarn package. Thereafter, the signal is analyzed by frequency, and/or amplitude, or other characteristics. Finally, the traversing frequency of the yarn takeup system is adjusted or varied as a function of the analysis result. In the preferred embodiment, the signal is proportional to a development of airborne sound or a development of solid-borne sound, each of which is generated in response to the motion of the advancing yarn on the package being formed. The method of the present invention allows disturbances in the winding operation to be avoided, such as the formation of so-called ribbons and similar phenomena.

    摘要: In the stuffing of synthetic continuous filamentary threads in stuffer boxes, special value is to be placed on the thermal treatment and especially the cooling of the initially crimped filaments. The filaments in the configuration of a compact thread plug, which is formed in the stuffer box, can be wound on a rotatably driven drum in several helical windings, the last thread plug winding can then be disentangled again at the end of the drum, and the finished texturized thread drawn off. The disentangling of the thread plug and the drawing off of the thread is improved by the present invention through an application of axial and/or radial forces or pressures onto the last thread plug winding in the region of the disentangling point. Suitable mechanical and pneumatic devices are provided by the invention for this purpose.

    摘要: A yarn texturing apparatus is disclosed which includes a nozzle having a yarn duct therethrough, and a perforated stuffer box at the outlet end of the duct. Heated air is introduced into the duct, and the air is heated by a heater which is positioned in the air supply line leading to the nozzle. The output of the heater is controlled by a temperature sensor which is positioned inside the stuffer box. Also, the nozzle comprises two confronting sections which can be separated to facilitate yarn thread-up, and a valve is provided in the supply line to divert the heated air to an exhaust line when the nozzle is opened. A second temperature sensor is positioned in the supply line and is operative when the nozzle is opened to regulate the output of the heater and avoid large fluctuations of its output. In a further embodiment, the heater is controlled by a circuit which stores the signal from the temperature sensor in the stuffer box, and this stored signal is utilized to control the heater when the nozzle is opened.
