    Abstract: A rotary electric machine includes a stator including a coil, and a rotor in an inner peripheral side of the stator. The rotor core comprises a soft magnetic metal and a magnet within a magnet insertion hole, a first magnet stopper on a q axis side of the magnet in the magnet insertion hole, a magnet accommodation between the first magnet stopper on both sides of the magnet insertion hole, a first space portion communicating with the magnet insertion hole, a second space portion whose distance from the magnet is equal to or less than a thickness of the magnet and a radial length of a magnetic pole center is long, the second space portion formed on an inner peripheral side relative to the magnet, and a third space portion that has a convex shape on an inner peripheral side of a q axis of the magnet.

    Abstract: An electric brake mechanism includes a piston (6D) propelled by a rotation-linear motion mechanism (8) driven by an electric motor (7A). The piston (6D) is configured to press brake pads (6C) against a disc rotor (4), and to hold the brake pads (6C) at a pressing position by stopping the electric motor (7A). A parking brake control device (24) is configured to determine, when a request (application command) to hold the brake pads (6C) is made, a judgment timing for judging whether to stop the electric motor (7A) based on a change trend of a current value of the electric motor (7A). When the judgment timing is reached, the parking brake control device (24) judges whether or not to stop the electric motor (7A).

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a brake control apparatus including a backup brake, which brake control apparatus makes it possible both to ensure deceleration, and to attain vehicle running stability.
    The present invention includes: a front-wheel-side braking mechanism 4 that includes a front-wheel-side electric hydraulic mechanism 6, and a hydraulic circuit system, and applies braking force to front wheels 2L, and 2R; a rear-wheel-side braking mechanism 5 that applies braking on a rear wheel side; a backup brake that is actuated in accordance with a switch to the hydraulic circuit system 15 when the front-wheel-side electric hydraulic mechanism 6 fails, and applies braking force to the front wheels 2R, and 2L; and a skid determination threshold setting section 43 that sets a skid determination threshold. When the backup brake is actuated, the skid determination threshold setting section 43 sets the skid determination threshold for the rear wheels 3L, and 3R on the basis of braking force information of the backup brake.

    Abstract: Provided is an electric brake including: a brake mechanism configured to transmit, based on a braking request, a thrust force generated through drive of an electric motor to a piston configured to move brake pads to be pressed against a disc rotor; and an ECU for rear electric brake configured to control the drive of the electric motor, and to move, in a non-braking state, the piston to a predetermined clearance position at which a clearance between each of the brake pads and the disc rotor is a predetermined amount. The ECU for rear electric brake is configured to drive the electric motor so that a period from generation of the braking request to a start of the pressing of the disc rotor by the brake pads is a predetermined period regardless of a position of the piston at a time when the braking request is generated.

    Abstract: An electric brake apparatus includes a brake mechanism, a parking mechanism, and a main ECU and rear electric brake ECUs. The main ECU performs re-holding control (re-clamping) of, after holding a braking force by the parking mechanism, releasing the holding of the braking force with the braking force applied or maintained and further applying the braking force, and then holding the braking force by the parking mechanism after that. In this case, the main ECU does not release the braking force on a rear right wheel until completing the re-holding control on a rear left wheel side. Alternatively, the main ECU does not release the braking force on the rear left wheel side until completing the re-holding control on the rear right wheel.
