Abstract:
Methods, systems, and storage media for reporting geo-information in wireless communications networks are described. In embodiments, a roadside unit (RSU) may instruct or configure a user equipment (UE) to report its geo-information to other UEs and/or receive other geo-information from the other UEs over vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) sidelinks. In embodiments, the RSU or a core network element may allocate radio resources for V2V communications to geographic areas and/or based on reported geo-information. In embodiments, the UE may use its geo-information and/or the obtained geo-information to select resources from the allocation for transmission or receipt of V2V messages. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
Implementations of this disclosure generally may relate to the field of wireless communications. More specifically, implementations described in this disclosure relate to different 3GPP LTE and LTE-A system enhancements to address the issue and support reliable V2X operation in the high mobility environments. Several solutions to improve the V2X system performance in the high mobility vehicular channel propagation conditions are described. Some aspects relate to the suggestion of a new DMRS patterns within individual subframes that promote more accurate CFO estimation. Moreover, another aspect provides DMRS mapping or puncturing patterns to transmit individual DMRS in a periodic pattern on respective OFDM/SC-FDMA symbols so that they do not occupy all REs of the OFDM/SC-FDMA symbols, respectively.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to good cell criteria. A device may establish a relaxation criteria for radio link monitoring (RLM) and beam failure detection (BFD). The device may utilize the relaxation criteria to assist a user equipment (UE) to enter or exit a relaxed condition. The device may apply a relaxation threshold to both RLM and BFD, wherein the relaxation threshold is based on a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of at least one reference signal (RS).
Abstract:
Apparatuses, systems and methods associated with asynchronous synchronization reference source selection and reselection for wireless communication devices are disclosed herein. In embodiments, one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media having instructions stored thereon, wherein the instructions, in response to execution by a user equipment (UE), cause the UE to establish a sidelink connection with a first synchronization reference (SyncRef) UE, and monitor for physical sidelink broadcast channel (PSBCH) synchronization signals from a second SyncRef UE, wherein the UE is to drop one or more subframes of data reception of the sidelink connection with the first SyncRef UE when the UE monitors for the PSBCH synchronization signals. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods and apparatuses for receiver timing window selection for inter-cell operations. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for communicating in a wireless network supporting vehicle-to-anything (V2X) communication including a terminal comprising: transceiver circuitry to communicate via uplink and downlink radio interface with a radio access network of a wireless communication network and communicate directly via sidelink radio interface with one or more out of a vehicle terminal and/or a roadside unit; and control circuitry coupled to the transceiver circuitry to determine one or more indicator related to the apparatus and/or surrounding environment and control the transceiver circuitry to control communication over the sidelink radio interface based on the determined one or more indicator to control congestion on V2X spectrum resources.
Abstract:
A wireless communication device is configured to perform demodulation of device-to-device (D2D) communication signals or LTE uplink signals in a User Equipment. In a transmitter, demodulation reference signal (DMRS) generation circuitry is provided for selective insertion of DMRS signals in resource elements of resource blocks of the signal for transmission using a pattern of resource elements spanning at least one of the resource blocks such that a minimum temporal spacing between consecutive symbols of the demodulation reference signal pattern is less than one slot. In a receiver the DMRS signals are used to perform channel estimation. A user equipment having the DMRS generation circuitry is provided. A computer program product is also provided. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
