Abstract: Devices and methods for determining a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) index to provide in a feedback to a network, including providing a plurality of inputs, wherein a first subset of the plurality of inputs includes one or more resource block inputs each corresponding to a resource block from a post-signal-to-interference-noise-ratio (post-SINR), and wherein a second subset of the plurality of inputs includes MCS information; determining a plurality of outputs based on the plurality of inputs, wherein each of the plurality of outputs corresponds to a respective MCS index; and selecting an MCS index from the plurality of outputs to provide in the feedback to the network.

Abstract: An interference-control based dynamic CCA scheme is described which will work in any compatible wireless system, including the 802.11 standards mentioned herein and in particular 802.11ac and 802.11ax. The interference control based dynamic CCA scheme can, for example, greatly improve overall wireless LAN system performance compared to other methods. The new scheme is based on interference control, by considering the possible interference to neighbouring devices, and improving overall system performance and inter-device “fairness” through this interference-based consideration technique.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, and methods related to parallel transmission of high efficiency SIGNAL field in communication networks. A device may generate a high efficiency preamble in accordance with a high efficiency communication standard, the high efficiency preamble including, at least in part, one or more legacy SIGNAL fields, one or more high efficiency SIGNAL fields, and one or more channel training fields. The device may cause to send the one or more channel training fields to one or more first devices. The device may determine one or more spatial channel streams associated with at least one of the one or more first devices, the one or more spatial channel streams includes a first stream and a second stream. The device may partition the at least one of the one or more high efficiency SIGNAL fields into, at least in part, a common part and one or more user-specific parts, the one or more user-specific parts includes a first user-specific part and a second user-specific part. The device may cause to send at least one of the one or more user-specific parts using the one or more spatial channel streams.

Abstract: Embodiments of a high-efficiency WLAN (HEW) access point (AP), user device (STA), and methods for communication between HEW APs and STAs in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a HEW AP determines a duration of a low-power time allocation, within a beacon period, that is to be reserved for low-power transmissions by STAs within a service range of the AP. The HEW AP can broadcast time sharing information to STAs within the service range of the AP. The time sharing information can indicate a start time of the duration of the low-power time allocation with respect to a start time of the beacon period and a maximum transmission power for transmissions performed during the low-power time allocation. Other embodiments and methods are also described.
