In embodiments, a device may receive an SDP attribute to indicate that a bitstream included in a real-time transport protocol (RTP)-based media stream includes camera calibration parameters. The device may obtain the camera calibration parameters based on the SDP attribute, and process the RTP-based media stream based on the camera calibration parameters. In embodiments, the camera calibration parameters may be used to stitch together (e.g., align and/or synchronize) the multiple video streams. Abstract: Methods and apparatus for tile-based stitching and encoding of images are disclosed. An example apparatus to stitch and encode images includes tile generation circuitry to generate first input tiles from a first image and second input tiles from a second image, the first image from a first camera and the second image from a second camera. The example apparatus also includes stitching circuitry to process the first input tiles and the second input tiles to convert the first input tiles into corresponding first stitched tiles and to convert the second input tiles into corresponding second stitched tiles. The example apparatus further includes encoding circuitry to encode the first stitched tiles and the second stitched tiles in parallel, wherein the tile generation circuitry is to generate the first input tiles and the second input tiles based on division information associated with the encoding circuitry.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for efficient image optimized image stitching. For example, one embodiment of an apparatus comprises: feature search area identification circuitry/logic to narrow down a feature search area based on possible overlap between two image frames; feature detection circuitry/logic to identify a plurality of feature points in a first image frame of the two image frames; feature matching circuitry/logic to map one or more of the plurality of feature points from the first image frame to corresponding feature points in the right image frame; image frame stitching and blending circuitry/logic to stitch the first image frame and second image frame based on the mapping of the feature points between the two image frames and to blend a portion of the first image frame with a portion of the second image frame.
