摘要: Methods and apparatus for tile-based stitching and encoding of images are disclosed. An example apparatus to stitch and encode images includes tile generation circuitry to generate first input tiles from a first image and second input tiles from a second image, the first image from a first camera and the second image from a second camera. The example apparatus also includes stitching circuitry to process the first input tiles and the second input tiles to convert the first input tiles into corresponding first stitched tiles and to convert the second input tiles into corresponding second stitched tiles. The example apparatus further includes encoding circuitry to encode the first stitched tiles and the second stitched tiles in parallel, wherein the tile generation circuitry is to generate the first input tiles and the second input tiles based on division information associated with the encoding circuitry.

Additionally, decoder technology may allocate a first decoder device to the first video stream and allocate a second decoder device to the second video stream. In one example, the first video stream and the second video stream include one or more different codec parameter values.

摘要: This disclosure is directed to a universal interface for sensor devices. Applications executed in a device may interact with sensor devices via a universal interface. For example, the device may act as a gateway allowing Internet of Things (IoT) devices to interact with at least one resource external to the environment in which the IoT devices operate. The device may comprise at least memory circuitry to store at least a virtual file system and at least one application. The virtual file system may provide a programmatic interface through which at least one sensor device may be accessible to the at least one application. Processing circuitry in the device may execute an application from those stored within the memory circuitry. The application, when executed, may cause interconnect circuitry also in the device to at least one of transmit instructions to, or receive data from, a sensor device utilizing the virtual file system.

摘要: An apparatus and system to provide QoE metrics reporting mechanisms for RTP-based 360-degree video delivery in live immersive streaming and real-time immersive conversational service applications are described for both in-camera and network-based stitching. Initial and desired parameters for viewports used in a teleconference are exchanged, and the teleconference established using 360° media. RTP FoV reports sent during the teleconference each contain viewport orientation information, as well as information for the QoE metrics.

摘要: In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises processing circuitry to: receive, via a network interface, a video stream comprising a plurality of video frames; identify a plurality of dependencies among the plurality of video frames; identify, based on the plurality of dependencies, a first subset of video frames to be transmitted using a first transmission method and a second subset of video frames to be transmitted using a second transmission method, wherein the first subset of video frames and the second subset of video frames are identified from the plurality of video frames, and wherein the first transmission method provides a higher quality of service than the second transmission method; transmit, via the network interface, the first subset of video frames to a corresponding destination using the first transmission method; and transmit, via the network interface, the second subset of video frames to the corresponding destination using the second transmission method.

摘要: A sender transmits media streams at receiver-enabled resolutions. The sender, a media server that has multiple resolutions of media available to stream, is made aware of the capability of the receiver to process lower resolution media streams, including a super-resolution capability to enhance the lower resolution media stream using temporal and/or spatial information contained in the lower resolution media stream. The media server sends lower resolution streams to the receiver, thereby freeing up bandwidth on the communication channel for other uses. The receiver can notify the sender of events that affect the status of the super-resolution capability on the receiver, and the sender can adjust the resolution and bitrate of the media stream accordingly to optimize use of the communication channels and resources by encoding and transmitting high resolution video frames only when needed.

摘要: Systems and techniques for selective transport of spatially partitioned immersive media content are described herein. In an example, the system may negotiate an attribute for media content between a media producer and a media consumer. A content structure for the media content may be determined based on the negotiation of the attribute, and a network packet may be created with information corresponding to the determined content structure encoded into a transport protocol header of the network packet. The network packet may be filtered to produce filtered media content. The filtered media content may be transmitted to the media consumer.
