    Abstract: Methods and systems for evaluating an audio quality using voice activity in a 4G and/or 5G network are disclosed. According to an implementation, a network component may determine that a voice call from a first user to a second user is established in a wireless network. The network component may include a user plane function in a 5G network and/or a serving gateway/packet data network gateway in a 4G network. The network component may obtain an audio stream associated with the voice call periodically until the voice call ends. The network component may further measure a packet loss rate of the audio stream, a muting rate of the audio stream, and a voice activity of the audio stream. The network component may determine whether the user perception of the voice call is impacted based at least in part on the packet loss rate, the muting rate, or the voice activity.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for media processing. A method for media processing is proposed. The method comprises: performing a conversion between a media file of a media and a media presentation of the media, wherein the media presentation comprises a main stream representation (MSR) and an external stream representation (ESR) associated with the MSR, a concatenation of a first segment in the ESR, a second segment in the MSR corresponding to the first segment, and subsequent segments following the second segment in the MSR results in a file conforming to a file format standard. Compared with the conventional solution, the proposed method can advantageously support the extended dependent random access point (EDRAP)-based technology more efficiently.

    Abstract: Methods and systems provide dynamic adjustments for video optimization in a communication session. In one embodiment, the system receives a video stream from a transmitting device; transmits the video stream to one or more client devices, the first video stream having associated video transmission quality parameters; receives, from the one or more client devices, initial video display quality parameters related to the video stream; determines a video stream adjustment by comparing the video transmission quality parameters with the video display quality parameters; generates a modified video stream by applying the video stream adjustment to the video stream; transmits the modified video stream to the one or more client devices; receives, updated video display quality parameters related to the modified video stream; and compares the updated video display quality parameters to the initial video display quality parameters to determine that one or more video quality metrics have increased.

    Abstract: Methods and systems provided herein ensure that communication sessions established between select parties, and communication devices, are in complete compliance with a predefined condition, or precondition. Upon determining content and addressing of a communication session, at least one precondition for communications is retrieved from a memory device. The precondition corresponds to a required condition for a communication session to be enabled and maintained. Once the precondition is met, the communication session is established and, as long as the precondition remains intact, the communication session is allowed to be maintained. Ensuring that the precondition exists and remains intact includes embedding an authentication signal, that is based on the precondition, along with communications made in the communication session. When at least a portion of the precondition is no longer met, the communication session is instantaneously terminated.
