Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area with pixels, and a detection electrode which includes first conductive lines overlapping the display area. Each of the pixels includes a first subpixel, a second subpixel adjacent to the first subpixel in a first direction, a third subpixel adjacent to the first subpixel in a second direction, and a fourth subpixel adjacent to the third subpixel in the first direction and to the second subpixel in the second direction. The pixels are arranged in the first direction with a first pitch, and the first conductive lines are arranged in the first direction with a second pitch which falls within a range of 2.2 times the first pitch or more and 3.2 times the first pitch or less.

Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal display device including a first spacer and a second spacer, which reduces the amount of residual displacement between a TFT substrate and a counter substrate after an external force applied to the liquid crystal display device has been removed, The first spacer, as seen in plan view, has an octagonal shape of a special form with a long axis in a direction of its gate lines, is planar in section at a central section thereof, and includes an inclined section on both sides. The second spacer has an octagonal shape of a special form with a long axis in a perpendicular direction relative to the gate lines, is planar in section at a central section thereof, and includes an inclined section on both sides. A gap between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate is defined by the first spacer and the second spacer.

Abstract: Provided is a display device including: a first gate line and a second gate line which extend in a first direction; a signal line and a current-supplying line which extend in a second direction intersecting with the first direction; a first sub-pixel surrounded by the first gate line, the second gate line, the signal line, and the current-supplying line; and a light-shielding film located over the first sub-pixel. Abstract: In a display device, light emitting areas and colored areas each have a predetermined planar shape having no rotational symmetry so that rotation of the area by an angle greater than or equal to 0° but smaller than 360° does not produce an initial shape of the area and are so arranged as to have different types of rotation angle. The colored areas are grouped based on a set of the colored areas of colors different from one another to forma plurality of full-color pixels. The full-color pixels are so arranged that the rotation angle of the colored areas of the same color have different types. In the full-color pixels of the same type, the colored areas of the same color have the same rotation angle. In the full-color pixels of different types, the colored areas of the same color have different rotation angles.
