    Abstract: A display device includes a display region including a plurality of first regions, and a plurality of second regions arranged with a certain gap between the plurality of first regions, wherein each of the plurality of first regions includes a transistor, a first organic layer, a wiring, a first organic insulating layer on the wiring and the transistor, a display element on the first organic insulating layer, a first sealing layer on the display element and stacked in order with a first inorganic insulating layer, a second organic insulating layer and a second inorganic insulating layer, each of the plurality of second regions includes the wiring, a second organic layer on the wiring, a second sealing layer stacked in order with the first inorganic insulating layer and the second inorganic insulating layer, and a thickness of the second organic layer is smaller than the thickness of the first organic layer.

    Abstract: In a three-dimensional display device employing liquid crystal lenses, the crosstalk caused by disclination occurring in the liquid crystal lenses is prevented. The liquid crystal lens includes a liquid crystal of the TN type having a twist angle of 90 degrees, the liquid crystal being sandwiched between a first substrate and a second substrate. A first electrode in a flat shape is formed on the first substrate to substantially cover the first substrate. Second electrodes shaped like comb teeth are formed on the second substrate. Each of the second electrodes is formed on the top of a projection formed on the second substrate. Three-dimensional display is performed by applying voltage between the first and second electrodes. The second electrode may be formed also on side faces of the projection. With this configuration, a three-dimensional image display device with less crosstalk can be realized.

    Abstract: Two-parallax autostereoscopic display device using eye tracking has a problem in which the brightness is varied depending on the direction of viewing angle. A 3D display device is provided with a detection part for recognizing a position of eyes from an image taken by a camera; a separation mechanism which enables a 3D image to be regenerated at the optimum position for eyes based on information on the position of eyes detected by the detection part; a display device for displaying a plurality of different parallax images at the same time; a backlight attached to the display device; and a backlight control part for controlling the backlight, wherein the backlight control part determines brightness of the backlight in accordance with the position of eyes determined by the detection part.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a plurality of pixel electrodes; a first carrier injection layer, a first carrier transport layer, a light-emitting layer, a second carrier transport layer, and a second carrier injection layer provided in order on the plurality of pixel electrodes; and a counter electrode provided on the second carrier injection layer. The second carrier has a polarity opposite to that of the first carrier. The counter electrode is connected to one layer of the first carrier transport layer and the first carrier injection layer, penetrating a layer situated between the one layer and the counter electrode, between the pixel electrodes adjacent to each other in a plan view. Alternatively, an upper surface of an intermediate electrode situated between the pixel electrodes adjacent to each other in a plan view is connected to the first carrier injection layer.
