    Abstract: The instant disclosure is drawn to an essentially anhydrous hair treatment composition; and to methods for conditioning, managing, and improving the look and feel of hair. The compositions include: (a) about 5 to about 95 wt. % of one or more alpha hydroxy acid esters; (b) of one or more polyols having from 2 to 10 carbon atoms; (c) one or more cationic surfactants; (d) one or more fatty alcohols; and (e) less than 5 wt. % of water and mono-alcohols having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The compositions are typically transparent or translucent, form a lamellar phase in situ when applied to wet or damp hair, and provide deep conditioning and other benefits to hair.

    Abstract: Hair treatment compositions and methods for treating hair using the compositions are disclosed.     Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair styling compositions that exhibit non-Newtonian shear thinning behavior during use.
