Abstract:
A method is described for operating a device in a wireless communication system. The device communicates with a base station using a subframe for the device only; detects, by the device, a problem with a connection between the device and the base station. The device starts a timer upon detecting the problem with the connection between the device and the base station. The device releases a restriction of using the subframe for the device only, if the timer expires. The problem with the connection between the device and the base station is associated with a radio link failure. The detection of a problem with the connection between the device and the base station comprises detecting consecutive out-of-sync indications.
Abstract:
A method for operating a relay node in a wireless communication system. The method includes communicating, by the relay node, with a base station using a specific subframe for the relay node only; detecting, by the relay node, a problem with a connection between the relay node and the base station; starting, by the relay node, a timer upon detecting the problem with the connection between the relay node and the base station; and releasing, by the relay node, a restriction of using the specific subframe for the relay node only, if the started timer expires. The problem with the connection between the relay node and the base station is associated with a radio link failure.
Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) and method are provided for transmitting an in-device coexistence (IDC) indication message in a wireless communication system. The UE receives a configuration message including an IDC indication from a base station. The UE transmits an IDC indication message to the base station if the UE determines that the IDC indication contains specific information. The specific information comprises an activation bit. The presence of the activation bit in the configuration message represents permission for the UE to transmit the IDC indication message. The IDC indication message includes frequency division multiplexing (FDM) assistant information. The FDM assistant information includes information on an unusable frequency in which interference from a long-term evolution (LTE) module in the UE to other coexisting technology modules in the UE or interference from other coexisting technology modules in the UE to the LTE module in the UE is expected.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of communicating in a mobile communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives an configuration message including information on an in-device coexistence (IDC) indication from the base station. The UE determines whether or not to transmit an IDC indication message based on the received information on the IDC indication, and transmits the IDC indication message to the base station if it is determined to transmit the IDC indication message based on the received information on the IDC indication.
Abstract:
A method is described for a device to re-establish a connection with a Donor evolved Node B (DeNB). The device communicates with the DeNB via a Un interface using a subframe for the device only. The device detects a problem associated with the Un interface, and performs a radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment procedure to re-establish a RRC connection between the device and the DeNB after detecting the problem associated with the Un interface. The device starts a timer upon detecting the problem associated with the Un interface, and releases a restriction of using the subframe for the device only, if the timer expires. An occurrence of the problem associated with the Un interface is determined in response to receiving consecutive out-of-sync indications.
