Abstract:
A rotobaler is provided with an inclination sensor that recognizes the inclination of the rotobaler, to the side as well as in the longitudinal direction. The inclination sensor generates a signal that is processed by a computer that controls a display arrangement in order to indicate whether a bale that is to be unloaded from the rotobaler can be ejected from the rotobaler, as presently positioned. If the inclination is such that a safe ejection of the bale is not possible, the computer sends out a signal that locks an outlet arrangement for the bale, or that steers the rotobaler in such a way that the bale is deposited with its longitudinal axis parallel to the inclination of the slope.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a round baling press having a baling press chamber and a door arranged in the rear section of the baling press chamber. The door is movable along a path between a closed position, in which the door extends along the back side of the baling press chamber, and an open position in which a completely formed bale can be ejected from the baling press chamber. The baling press further includes at least one sensor providing information on the position of the door. The sensor provides a signal value which contains information on the respective position of the door along its path of movement.
Abstract:
A rotary baler having a variable size baling chamber for the formation of a cylindrical bale. The baler is configured to measure diameter and the shape of the bale. To measure the shape of the bale, the baler is provided with at least one sensor arranged to generate information regarding the diameter of a bale formed in the baling chamber. The sensor is a non-contacting sensor and is arranged to detect the position of the outer surface of the bale or the surface of an endless conveying element located about the bale.
Abstract:
A drive arrangement for the drive of an agricultural implement is provided that includes a drive engine that can be brought into a drive connection over a separable power take-off shaft clutch with a power take-off shaft output. A drive line of the operating implement is connected with the power take-off shaft output, with an overload clutch, and a control arrangement. The control arrangement is connected to a sensor arranged for the detection of the torque at the power take-off shaft output and, in normal operation, permits an actuator to disengage the power take-off shaft clutch as soon as the torque detected by the sensor reaches or exceeds a first threshold value, that corresponds to a torque that is smaller than the cut-off torque of the overload clutch. Immediately following, the control arrangement orders the actuator to engage the power take-off shaft clutch and when the power take-off shaft clutch is disengaged permits a torque at the power take-off shaft output that is greater than the cut-off torque of the overload clutch.
Abstract:
A large round baler is provided with a weighing arrangement for the detection of the weight of a cylindrical bale. The weighing arrangement is arranged to detect the force that a cylindrical bale applies to a support element located in the baling chamber and movable relative to the bale for supporting substantially the entire weight of the bale during discharge of the bale from the baling chamber. So that a true weight reading is obtained, the side pressure exerted on the bale by the side walls is released before the weight measurement takes place. Additionally, an inclination sensor is provided for sending information to an evaluation arrangement which makes an adjustment in a sensed weight to account for any engagement of the bale with the sides of the baling chamber due to side-to-side inclination.

Abstract:
The invention suggests a device for wrapping a bale with a wrapping sheet, which comprises one or more sensors that detect whether the bale is wrapped properly with the wrapping sheet. A baling press is equipped with such a wrapping device as well as a control or regulating unit (ECU) that receives a signal from the one or more of the sensors and acts to interrupt the wrapping of a bale in the event the signal indicates an improper wrapping process is underway.

Abstract:
A tractor comprises an electronic tractor controller. A baler comprises a crop receiver, a baling chamber, a rear door, a rear door actuator, a bale size sensor associated with the baling chamber, and an electronic baler controller. The baler controller is operable to submit a halt signal to the tractor controller when a bale size signal provided by the bale size sensor indicates that a bale has reached a size corresponding to a predetermined size. The tractor controller then halts the tractor and the bale is wrapped. The rear door is opened automatically after the bale has been wrapped, but only if an obstacle sensor detects no obstacle in a detection zone behind the baler.
