Abstract: Methods and systems for displaying messages using body-worn electronic display devices. One method includes receiving proximity data indicating a distance between a first electronic display device and a second electronic display device. The method also includes receiving first orientation data indicating an orientation of the first electronic display device and receiving second orientation data indicating an orientation of the second electronic display device. The method also includes determining a distributed message for display based on the proximity data, the first orientation data, and the second orientation data. The distributed message includes a first message for display on the first electronic display device and a second message for display on the second electronic display device. The method also includes displaying, by a controller, the first message on the first electronic display device and the second message on the second electronic display device.

Abstract: Using sensor hubs for tracking an object. One system includes a first sensor hub and a second sensor hub. The first sensor hub includes a first audio sensor and a first electronic processor. In response to determining that one or more words captured by the first audio sensor is included in the list of trigger words, the first electronic processor generates a first voice signature of a voice of an unidentified person, generates a tracking profile, and transmits the tracking profile to the second sensor hub. The second sensor hub receives the tracking profile and includes a second electronic processor, a second audio sensor, and a camera. In response to determining that a second voice signature matches the first voice signature, the second electronic processor is configured to determine a visual characteristic of the unidentified person based on an image from the camera and update the tracking profile.

The method includes receiving a first gesture-based input corresponding to a selected tile of the plurality of tiles. The method includes receiving a second gesture-based input selecting the first icon. The method includes retrieving, from the first application, a first application view based on the content. Abstract: A portable communication device includes a main housing, and a knob coupled to the main housing. The knob is rotatable about a first axis that extends into the main housing, and the knob includes a channel that extends partially circumferentially about the first axis. The portable communication device also includes a button coupled to the main housing. The button is moveable linearly along a second axis that is parallel to the first axis, and the button includes a projection that is sized and shaped to extend into the channel. The button is movable between a first position in which the projection is within the channel, and a second position in which the projection is outside of the channel.
