    摘要: A liquid ejection printing apparatus performing printing by ejecting a liquid toward a printing medium includes a liquid ejection head portion having a liquid ejecting printing head ejecting a liquid and a first tank holding the liquid to be supplied to the head, a second tank holding a liquid to be supplied to the first tank and having an atmosphere communicating opening for introducing an atmospheric air, a third tank receiving the liquid from the first tank and capable of supplying the liquid to the second tank, a first liquid supply passage for communicating the first tank and the second tank, a second liquid supply passage for communicating the second tank and the third tank, a third liquid supply passage for communicating the third tank to the first tank, the first tank and the third tank each forming an enclosed space excluding supply passages connected respectively thereto, a pump capable of sucking a gas within the third tank provided in a passage other than the first, second and third supply passages and a first valve provided in the second supply passage for opening and closing the second liquid supply passage, and a second valve provided in the third tank for communicating the gas within the third tank to outside.

    摘要: A recording apparatus builds an image at high quality without occurrence of malfunctions attributable to raised/recessed spots on the surface of a conveyance belt and insufficient dimensioning for the width of the conveyance belt, while preventing the interior of the recording apparatus from being contaminated with erroneously ejected ink. The recording apparatus includes a conveyance belt for conveying a recording sheet below four kinds of recording heads, and the conveyance belt has a joint line along which the opposite ends of a band-shaped material are joined to each other. In addition, the conveyance belt has a band-shaped colored portion which is located remote from the joint line by a predetermined distance. The colored portion is detected by an optical sensor, and a control unit controls the driving of the conveyance belt in response to a signal derived from the detection of the optical sensor.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus having a movable separator to separate a recording medium from a feeding belt includes feeding structure for feeding an attached recording medium in a predetermined feeding direction. Image forming structure receives the recording medium from the feeding structure and forms images on the received recording medium. The separator is located on a downstream side of the image forming structure, and separates the attached recording medium from the feeding structure in a direction which is angled from the predetermined feeding direction. The separator moves to push the recording medium from a non-recording face thereof to a recording face thereof while the recording medium is stopped during intermittent feeding to cause even separation of the recording medium from the feeding structure.
