    摘要: In an encoding unit 100 for encoding a motion image are provided a corrector 121 scene determiner 122, correction data generator 123, and scene change detector 124. The scene change detector 124 detects a scene change in a motion image based on a differential image during encoding, and the detection result is input to the scene determiner 122. The scene determiner 122 determines details of the scene of an image after a scene change using a predicted image from the movement compensator 116, and the correction data generator 123 determines the correction method based on the result of the scene determination. The corrector 121 executes corrections by the set correction method until a next scene change is detected. In this way the correction method is updated only when a scene change is detected, thereby executing suitable correction and reducing the quantity of calculation necessary for correction.

    摘要: When a start signal is inputted to an image forming apparatus, initial settings of the reader unit and printer unit are respectively performed in a first step. In a second step, if the apparatus is in the temporary stop state, the operation waits until this state is canceled. During this waiting period, the apparatus does not performs scanning of the next scanning line. If the apparatus is not in the temporary stop state, the operation proceeds to a third step, where the reader units and the printer units start scanning. When print-scanning of one line is completed in a fourth step, the operation proceeds to a fifth step, where data required for the next scanning is transmitted to the reader unit and the printer unit. In a sixth step, the above operation is repeated until the entire image formation is completed.

    摘要: The present invention provides a print control technique for printing a plurality of documents more flexibly. A document list obtaining unit in an MFP (Multi Function Peripheral) obtains a document list DL of a plurality of documents to be printed. The document list DL is described by, for example, the XML (extensible Markup Language) or the like. A style sheet obtaining unit obtains a style sheet ST corresponding to the document list DL from a style sheet storing unit or the like. A converting unit converts the document list DL to a printing list PL of a predetermined format by using the tag in the document list DL on the basis of the style sheet ST. On the basis of the printing list PL, a printing instruction unit uses the document data obtained by a document data obtaining unit and outputs a printing instruction to a printer unit. The printer unit continuously prints the plurality of documents onto sheets on the basis of the printing instruction.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus, such as a copying machine, is provided with a function of detecting in an original presented for copying, a particular image which should not be copied, for example, banknotes and other negotiable instruments. Upon detection of such image in an original presented for copying, the apparatus, in reproducing the image, synthesizes with that image a pattern denoting information which identifies the particular machine on which the copying was performed. For example, the pattern used for that purpose may be the manufacturer's serial number. In particular, the machine may binary-code input image data before synthesis with the pattern. According to another aspect, the apparatus and method of the invention discriminate the degree of similarity between input image data and the predetermined image which is not to be copied, delays the input image data during performance of the discrimination, and processes the delayed image data in a way which depends upon the degree of similarity discriminated. The discrimination of similarity may be based on the color distribution in the input image data. The structure for actually reproducing the image, whether synthesized with the serial number or not, may preferably be a bubble jet printer.
