    Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a refund amount to a customer account for a payment transaction that occurred using a real-time payment network. In an embodiment, a supplemental payment services computer receives a refund request including a transaction reference and a token concerning a payment transaction between a merchant and a customer, determines that the payment transaction was effected in a real-time payment network, determines an issuer financial institution (FI) computer of an issuer FI maintaining a customer account represented by the token, transmits the refund request to the issuer FI computer, receives a favorable authorization response and transmits the authorization response to an acquirer FI computer associated with the merchant. The supplemental payment services computer also transmits a payment card network funds transfer credit message directing the issuer FI to credit the refund amount to the customer account and transmits a payment card network funds transfer debit message directing the acquirer FI to debit the refund amount from an account of the merchant to the acquirer FI computer. Next, the refund amount from the acquirer FI computer to the issuer FI computer is settled via a payment card account network settlement system computer.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for distributing parcels to users by way of unmanned devices. One computer-implemented method includes actuating a locking mechanism of a compartment of the unmanned device to secure a parcel within the compartment and receiving, from a parcel provider associated with delivering the parcel to a user, a delivery location and a hashed key for the parcel. The method then also includes, at the delivery location of the parcel: capturing an image of a computer-readable indicia representative of a hashed key from the user; determining that the hashed key from the user and the hashed key received from the parcel provider match; and when the hashed keys match, actuating the locking mechanism associated with the compartment of the unmanned device to enable the user to access the compartment and retrieve the parcel.

    Abstract: A request for a refund is received relative to a payment transaction implemented in a real-time payment system. The request is transmitted to an issuer financial institution that maintains an account for the payer in the payment transaction. A response is received from the issuer financial institution. The response is transmitted to an acquirer financial institution that provides financial services to the recipient of the payment transaction. A first transfer message is transmitted to the issuer financial institution directing the issuer financial institution to credit a refund amount to the payer's account and to debit a settlement holding account maintained by the issuer financial institution. A second transfer message is transmitted to the acquirer financial institution to debit the refund amount from the recipient's account. The refund amount is settled from the acquirer financial institution to the issuer financial institution via a payment card account network settlement system.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for binding an IoT device with an identity of a user, whereby action by the IoT device may be attributed to the user. One example computer-implemented method includes verifying a user and, in response to the verification, compiling and storing identifying data for the user. The method also includes receiving an IoT device ID associated with an IoT device, from a communication device associated with the user, and appending the IoT device ID to the identifying data for the user. The method then includes receiving a request indicator from the IoT device, seeking authentication of the user at the communication device, and in response to the request indicator and the authentication of the user, provisioning, to the IoT device, at least a portion of the identifying data for the user.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for binding an IoT device with an identity of a user, whereby action by the IoT device may be attributed to the user. One exemplary method includes receiving identifying data for a user, transmitting an OTP to the user, and receiving an OTP from the user. When the received OTP matches the transmitted OTP, the method includes compiling an identity for the user based on the identifying data, receiving an IoT device ID associated with an IoT device, and appending the IoT device ID to the identity of the user. The method further includes seeking authentication of the user at a communication device of the user, in response to a request indicator from the IoT device, and providing to the IoT device, in response, a confirmation of authentication of the user and/or a portion of the identifying data from the stored identity of the user.
