    Abstract: Techniques and examples of tracking reference signal and framework thereof in mobile communications are described. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station of a network, a reference signal via a communication link between the UE and the base station. The reference signal contains resource configuration with respect to tracking reference signal (TRS) configuration. The UE also receives, from the base station, a TRS burst containing a plurality of TRS symbols with one or more components of the UE configured according to the TRS configuration. The UE processes the TRS burst to perform channel estimation, synchronization, time tracking, frequency tracking, or a combination thereof.

    Abstract: Various examples with respect to frequency-selective precoding for uplink (UL) transmissions in mobile communications are described. A processor of a user equipment (UE) receives signaling from a network node of a wireless network. The processor then performs a codebook-based UL transmission to the network node with frequency-selective precoding in a subband of a plurality of subbands according to the signaling received from the network. For non-codebook-based UL transmissions, the processor performs a non-codebook-based UL transmission of a beamformed sounding reference signal (SRS) to the network node by determining a precoder and performing frequency-selective precoding on the SRS using the precoder with a size of precoder bundling for the frequency-selective precoding in a frequency domain known by the network node.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a first UE. The first UE transmits sidelink control information to one or more second UEs. The sidelink control information includes an indication of a first resource reserved for transmitting first sidelink positioning reference signals (SL-PRSs) from the first UE to the one or more second UEs. The sidelink control information includes an indication requesting the one or more second UEs to transmit second SL-PRSs to the first UE in response to receiving the first SL-PRSs from the first UE. The first UE transmits the first SL-PRSs on the first resource to the one or more second UEs.

    Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives, on a primary cell, an activation command from a base station for activating a secondary cell between the UE and the base station. The UE receives scheduling information of a set of aperiodic TRSs. The UE receives a trigger indicating transmission of the set of aperiodic TRSs. The UE initiates a RF chain of the UE configured for the secondary cell in an interruption period. The UE receives, in response to receiving the trigger and in accordance with the scheduling information, the set of aperiodic TRSs on the secondary cell prior to receiving an initial SSB or an initial periodic TRS after the interruption period.     Abstract: A UE receives a first configuration identifier for generating downlink PRSs or CSI-RSs. The first configuration identifier is an integer in a first range that includes a second range in which a scrambling identifier for generating a CSI-RS is. The UE receives modulation symbols on a set of resource elements allocated for carrying reference signals in an OFDM symbol in a slot in a radio frame. The UE generates a seed of a pseudo-random sequence for deriving the reference signals on the set of resource elements based on a wrapping result of a first output of a function using the first configuration identifier as a parameter and an offset. A second output of the function using a second configuration identifier as a parameter is the same as the first output. The second configuration identifier is in the second range and corresponding to the first configuration identifier.
